Red Dead Redemption

This open-world Western is more than just Grand Theft Auto on horseback.

Red Dead Redemption

Howdy Partner! Ya like Grand Theft Auto Games? I reckon you'll love RockStar Games new twist on the open ended sandbox genre with Red Dead Redemption.

If you haven't played Red Dead Redemption yet, I highly recommend it. It's a great experience from start to finish; one I know I won't certainly forget for a long time. At least until L.A. Noire is released or GTAV.

Red Dead Redemption (Xbox 360, PS3) review

The year is 1911 and a former outlaw is forced to pick up his guns once more to save his family. You are John Marston, welcome to Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption. Rockstar has stepped away from its iconic and controversial Grand Theft Auto series for a...

For me it is a shame that plot did not match the technical qualities exhibited by Rockstar, but for many this may well not be an issue. If you like the idea of a sandbox western then this is money well spent. In what other game can you earn a...

Red Dead Redemption

Rockstar reminds us of why they are the crown holders of open-world, sandbox games.

In conclusion, RDR is a title that must be experienced by everyone who has a decent taste in games. Nothing about it feels incomplete. Bar a very few minor glitches, it's perfect in almost every way. Rockstar San Diego can easily make a sequel to RDR...

Red Dead Redemption (2010)

Welcome to the Wild West; Rockstar’s Wild West, a peerless fusion of Grand Theft Auto’s astonishingly engrossing open-world sensibilities and Western-centric cinematic set-pieces. Unfurling at the turn of the 20th century, Red Dead casts you as...

Red Dead Redemption

This stunning Wild West epic raises the bar for open-world action games, and stakes its claim as one of the most engaging games this year.

Superb cast of memorable characters ; Varied and always-fun story missions ; Loads of optional activities and challenges ; Story does a great job of building up to multiple climaxes ; Good number of enjoyable multiplayer options

Infrequent but noticeable bugs ; Limited customisation options for persistent multiplayer character

Between the Free Roam and competitive modes, there's enough great multiplayer content to keep you playing Red Dead Redemption long after you've watched the credits roll at the end of the superb single-player mode and gone back in to finish up any...

Red Dead Redemption review

Red Dead Redemption is one of the rare Western based games, and for good reason: there hasn't been a decent Western game in a long time. With Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption, the waiting is over, as it's easily the best Western game of all time, not to...

Huge world ; Great gameplay ; Wonderful visuals and style

Shooting is too easy with lock-on feature ; Too many glitches and bugs

Red Dead Redemption

Red Dead Redemption (RDR) isn't so much a sandbox as a dustbowl as you explore and live in a rugged yet beautiful country. Indeed the county of New Austin proves to be the greatest character of the game. You play John Marston, a former gunslinger...

Yippie-kay-yay, the Red Dead series returns for an amazing romp through the old west.

If you buy this game, you will not regret it. So ends this review.
