Canon i-SENSYS MF628Cw

Canon's i-SENSYS MF628Cw is a laser multi-function printer, designed for small or home office use. It can print, copy and scan in full colour, as well as handle the sending and receiving of faxes, covering most document-based needs in many small offices.

The MF628Cw's full-colour laser mechanism and ability to print and scan from a variety of devices is impressive. However, a lack of duplex printing, comparitively slow performance and inadequate 150-sheet paper tray mean that it suffers too many...

Canon Color imageClass MF628Cw

The Canon Color imageClass MF628Cw is a little large for a multifunction printer meant for personal or micro-office use, but it can print, scan, copy, and fax, and it features front-panel touch-screen controls.

Prints, scans, copies, and faxes. Automatic document feeder. Ethernet and Wi-Fi. Color touch-screen controls. High-quality output in testing.

Low paper capacity. Big and heavy for what it offers. No duplexer, even as an option.

Conclusion If you don't need a fax capability, consider the Canon MF624Cw, which is less expensive than the Canon Color imageClass MF628Cw and a bit faster on our tests as well. If you need to fax, the HP M277dw costs a little more than the MF628Cw,...

Terrible

Worked great for a month or two. Now: Won't print over wifi, won't print direct connect, won't even copy and print. I now have a boat anchor.

Slow

This printer is not made for speed And the toner goes extremely fast. The scanning feature set up is not easy and I feel that you really should skip this printer.

The worst printer I've ever owned.

Avoid like the plague. Difficult / impossible to connect to the wifi. Connected via cable but works intermittently. Now telling me it has no paper - it's lying. It has plenty!

Great quality printer

Printer produces great prints quickly (even from start up). Apple AirPrint feature is a slight let down you have to manually change setting to accept and then pair to device (if you want to use other connection modes as your main setting like LAN etc.)

Fantastically priced printer

It is a pity that manufacturers don't give you an instruction manual anymore instead it is all on a CD, otherwise a fanatic scanner, printer and copier and far better than my HP laser jet that I had previously.
