Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One All-in-One Printer Review: Compact, No Frills, Great Output

A small inkjet multifunction printer with an overly long name, the $100 (as of January 24, 2012) Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One All-in-One Printer is well suited to tight spaces, and it offers excellent output quality and ease of use. The unit's main...

Great text and photo output ; Easy-to-use LCD and touchpanel

No duplexing support on the Mac

This home unit is compact and simple, and it produces excellent output. Pricey inks and no duplexing restrict it to low-volume use.

Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One All-in-One Printer review: Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One All-in-One Printer

Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One All-in-One Printer

The ; stuffs a printer, scanner, and copy machine into a device that also fits in small places, and Epson's iPrint software extends your printing reach to compatible Android and iOS devices.

The printer lacks an Ethernet port for wired networking, and its "moderate-capacity" cartridge bay is a money sink if you print a high volume of photos and color documents.

The Epson NX430 "Small-in-One" printer is a solid investment for students and office jockeys who print high-quality photos and documents but don't have the space for a large format device.

Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One

With a name like the Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One All-in-One Printer ($99 direct), you'd expect compactness to be a defining feature of this multifunction printer (MFP), and indeed it can squeeze into spots where most printers couldn't fit. Its...

Very compact. Budget price. Good photo quality. Epson Connect- and Apple AirPrint-compatible

Slow text and photo printing speeds. Sub-par text quality. No port for USB thumb drive

The Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One is an MFP geared for home use that can fit in tight spaces.

Epson Stylus NX430 Review: Is Small Better?

Epson's most recent addition to their Stylus lineup has a catchy new name, the Epson Stylus NX430 "Small"-in-One, a play on words based on Epson's claim of the "smallest footprint available for the feature set." But is it as budget friendly as the...

Small form factor ; Low intial cost ; Energy efficient

Expensive ink replacement ; Difficulty with Epson Scan

The Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One is indeed small, probably one of the smallest all-in-ones I've seen, not only from Epson but from other manufacturer's as well. And the initial price tag is budget friendly with a suggested retail price of $99.99 and...

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED

I returned mine, Lost various print jobs from various sites. Picks and chooses what it wants to print. Terrible WIFI.

Loses your print jobs repeatedly

Consumer review (cnet.com)

Inexpensive, but falls well short of expectations.

This printer has some cool features, but they are not worth the annoyances of bad design and engineering. The most annoying, crooked printing, never had a printer that was so touchy about how the paper sat in the feeder. This printer works, but not well.

Easy to set up and it has a small fooprint. The ink is expesive, but it doesn't go through it all that fast.

Slow, painfully slow, especially when making copies. When settings are changed to speed it up for B&W copies, it prints them blue and pink. If you do not put the paper in the feeder just right it prints crooked. Settings are difficult to access.
