HP LaserJet 2420dn

 

The HP LaserJet 2420dn turns in top scores for performance and better quality than most monochrome lasers.

Fast performance. Duplexer and Ethernet card included. Excellent text quality. Better quality graphics than most monochrome lasers.

Relatively modest paper handling, with a default 350-sheet input capacity, a maximum 850 sheets, and no additional paper-handling options.

LaserJet 2420-DN Network Laser Pri...

 

The HP LaserJet 2420dn is a monochrome laser printer with a maximum resolution of 1200x1200DPI.

We were also less than thrilled about the mottling that was present in some of our darker image and shading tests. This was much less pronounced at the 600dpi setting than at 1200dpi, and paper quality also seemed to contribute to or reduce this...

Expensive

 

HP toner so it does work

EXPENSIVE for pages you get ; Daily occasional use at my desk and it lasts maybe 2 months. I do use duplex. RIDICULOUS waste of planet resources to not make these refillable and require ship back and all that plastic and cardboard. HP SHOULD RETHINK...

Does what it's supposed to

 

Just have to wonder why network printers are so expensive still. Also,why are wide impact printers are still several hundred dollars even though the technology is 20+ years old?

Very fast, very crisp printing. Easy setup

Price is still pretty high for the network version, but HP is not alone in this

A Bit Disappointing

 

Very disappointed in HP quality of late. Trying to replace a Laserjet 4P which is about impossible. The 4P is still going after 13 years, just very slow. Their answer is always the cartridge, hope that is it.

Prints very fast and a straight shot for envelopes which is fantastic

after only two days, faint dotted ilne down the page. This is the 2nd HP I have had this problem on, albeit a different model. HP sending new cartridge as they feel this is the problem

Great printer

 

I have owned 3 printers in 10 years, the HP 4P, HP 1320, and this one. I've had great luck with my HP printers, and the 2420dn has all the convenient features that I appreciate, as listed above. Newegg got it out the door quickly, I'm a happy customer.

The Goods

 

The sound (it is not noise) it makes is totally acceotable unlike what some say. Newegg is the best.

Does everything I wanted without a hitch. I especially needed a straight through media path for cards & lables and this one is excellent

None after 4 months. My only lament is now 4 months later the price has dropped over $100. That means it is an even better deal now for the late comers
