HP Officejet Pro 8000 Enterprise A811a

Designed for the office, but specced like a budget version of the Officejet Pro 8000, is PostScript the saviour of the Enterprise?

High capacity ink cartridges ; Very low running costs ; PostScript Level 3 provided as standard

Odd pauses during print runs ; Reduced print area on duplex pages ; No multi-purpose tray

Setup of the PCL 6 and PostScript Level 3 drivers is straightforward and there’s ink monitoring software, too. Support is provided for Windows and OS X, as usual, and Linux drivers are available at www.hplip.net.

HP Officejet Pro 8000

HP's Officejet Pro 8000 takes aim at affordable laser printers, sporting a sub-£100 retail price.

HP's OfficeJet Pro 8000 is a solid, hard-working office inkjet, which produces near-laser quality text and graphics and far-better-than-laser quality photos. Apart from when printing duplex (a feature most entry-level colour lasers don't offer) it's...

HP Officejet Pro 8000 review

Even the lowest-end colour lasers can't compete with the HP Officejet Pro 8000 wireless's speed, features, and print quality - and its inks are cheaper, too.

The HP Officejet Pro 8000 wireless excels compared with other single-function inkjets. For a small office, it's also good to know that this model stands up well to the lowest-end colour lasers.

HP - OfficeJet Pro 8000 Enterprise

Laser printers dominate in enterprise office environments, mostly due to their low cost per page, flexibility and network manageability. But in most large offices you'll still find plenty of inkjets tucked away, used for tasks such ...

The inkjet printer is well on its way to earning its corporate credentials courtesy of the Officejet Pro 8000 Enterprise. It's highly manageable and has all the quality you'd expect from a modern inkjet, yet has very attractive running costs compared...

HP Officejet Pro 8000 review

As I tend to run the office side of the tracyandmatt operation I'm frequently printing documents, postage label etc. and for the past few years we've used an HP Colour Laserjet printer for the day-to-day tasks. The issue with that is it...

HP Officejet Pro 8000 (A809) inkjet printer

A lightning fast Officejet printer from HP that proves inkjets can compete with lasers

Lightning fast print speeds, vibrant colour palette, cheap to purchase and run, Ethernet connectivity, automatic duplex

Banding issues in photos, fiddly output tray

HP's Officejet Pro 8000 inkjet printer rivals lasers in both speed and running cost, at a price that won't break the bank.

HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless Printer

HP's Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless color inkjet printer ($180 as of March 26, 2010) could cure some small offices or workgroups of their color-laser envy. Even the lowest-end color lasers can't compete with the Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless's speed,...

Excellent text quality for an inkjet ; Wireless connectivity allows convenient placement ; Very inexpensive ink

Photos exit slowly ; Images can be murky, with orangey flesh tones

Packed with features and built for speed, this small-business inkjet printer is hard to beat. Ink costs are amazingly low.

HP Officejet Pro 8000 (A809)

The Officejet Pro 8000 does indeed jet along nicely in draft mode printing, but best quality is another story altogether.

Very fast draft printing ; Duplexing included as standard ; High yield black cartridges available

Noisy operation ; No multifunction ; Best quality printing is astonishingly slow

For many SOHO operators, the Officejet Pro 8000 would be a good match, as long as you're not looking for absolute best quality printing, or have a lot of time to wait for it to happen.
