HP Photosmart C4680 review

The HP Photosmart C4680 covers just the basics. It has a USB connector but no ethernet or media-card slots. Its single input tray maxes out at 80 sheets. It has no output tray: prints or copies simply drop on top of the input stack-to a maximum of 15...

The HP Photosmart C4680 would be a decent choice for a light-duty home MFP, given its nice output and friendly controls. However, if you print or copy a lot, look for a faster machine with much lower ink prices.

HP - PhotoSmart C4680

With reams of budget all-in-ones (AIOs) available for casual users there's a constant battle between speed, quality and value, and HP has attempted to find the right combination yet again here with the PhotoSmart C4680. We ...

The PhotoSmart C4680 is certainly capable of some impressive results from colour photo printing and offers solid performance for document prints, but while its slower print speeds are acceptable given the price point, based on the price of replacement...

HP Photosmart C4680 All-in-One

The HP Photosmart C4680 All-in-One offers suitable speed and output quality for light-duty printing at home.

Relatively fast. Reasonably high-quality output across the board. Prints, scans, and copies.

LCD for previewing photos on memory cards is unusually small. Relatively high cost per page.

Probably more important for most home users, the C4680 also printed photos at a reasonably fast clip, averaging 1:16 for a 4-by-6 and 3:03 for an 8-by-10. In comparison, the NX515 was much slower for photos, at 2:05 and 4:41.—Next: Output Quality

HP Photosmart C4680

HP's Photosmart C4680 color inkjet multifunction printer (MFP)--$100 at this writing--is priced to look like a bargain. Given its costly inks and slow speeds, however, it's best suited for low-volume use.

Good print quality ; Nice control panel

Slow; expensive inks ; Low-capacity, cheap-feeling paper trays

Print quality is impressive for a model this inexpensive to buy, but its ink costs are high.

Incredibly hard to set up. Will not connect. Will not print. Spews paper out - where is an old fashioned printer that connects via a cable and does not rely on a network to print? The manual is impenetrable. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY THIS...
