An inkjet printer which can produce full colour without a mains connection. You have to pay steeply for size reduction and battery, though.

I have reviewed a number of these small (they still print A4) printers, however the last was a while ago and this has just been launched by HP. So if you work away from power will it do what you need to do or is portable not on?

HP's Officejet 100 Mobile Printer is a compact colour inkjet, designed for mobile workers who need to print documents while on the road using a mains adapter or an optional battery for power.

High quality 600dpi prints in colour, quiet, supports wireless printing
