OKI MC562w

 

The OKI MC562w can be a good fit as a workhorse color MFP for a small office or workgroup.

Print. Copy. Scan. Fax. Direct email. 50-sheet duplexing (one-side-at-a-time) automatic document feeder. Duplex printing.

Although text and graphics quality is typical for a color laser-class printer, photo quality is well below par.

Much more important for most offices is the balance of capable paper handling for both printing and scanning; the core set of MFP features, including direct email; and the useful extras, like Wi-Fi and mobile printing support. The combination adds up...

Disappointing device

 

Had big hopes because when I bought these the reviews were great. I don't trust most review sites anymore

Neutral colour ; Fits in our particular space ; Fairly quiet ; Great PR - OKI manage reviews really well

Unreliable ; Hard to configure to Mac ; Variable service quality ; Can't print at all when cartridge approaching low (I don't mean empty)

Error codes, rattles and squeaks

 

Now what do i do?

Used to print well

I have had this for 8 months. It doesn't recognize the (expensive toners) are in. Its rattling Error codes. What a nightmare. Previous Oki we owned worked for 5 years before it had any issues.

Don't buy an OKI printer.

Worked great for about six months.

After about six months an error message came up to change the drum. It was no where near the number of pages that should warrant a change, but I purchased a new drum unit (about $130) and changed it out. It has not worked since. The printer now does...
