Optoma HD25

This talented 2D & 3D projector represents good value at £800.

Excellent value for money ; Good picture quality for the price ; Living-room friendly design

No vertical image shift ; Operational noise can be distracting ; Minor rainbow effect

Further exploration of the menus uncovers a few useful extras including the ability to adjust the intensity of the DynamicBlack and BrilliantColour systems, along with a variety of useful content-based gamma presets. Actually, since there are no...

Optoma HD25

Eager to please and equally pleasing to watch, the HD25 is a great budget option

Bright, clean image ; Good level of detail with a vivid colour balance ; Smooth motion

Not the last word in subtlety ; The slightly hard edge to the sound can be tiring

Optoma HD25 projector review

Design-wise, the HD25 is passably attractive by budget projection standards, thanks to its gloss white finish and curved forward edge. Casual users will appreciate its small, cupboard-friendly footprint – though this does raise concerns about running...

Capable of accurate, contrast-rich pictures; 3D glasses included; great value

A little rainbow effect; shifting operating noise tones; needs initial calibration work; initial sample required firmware update

Optoma HD25-LV review

Ultra bright Full HD projector with superb image quality that you can use in daylight as well as darkness

The Optoma HD25-LV is an excellent projector. It may not be as good value as last year’s model, but this is still a first class home cinema projector that produces bright, accurate 2D video in all lighting conditions. Its 3D capabilities are also...

Optoma HD25 and HD25-LV Projectors Review

The HD25 and the HD25LV are two 3D 1080p projectors that just came to market. We've reviewed the HD65, the HD20, the HD72...and the HD33 before, but these new units break 3D into a new price point.

Optoma HD25-LV Home Video Projector Review

Review: The Optoma HD25-LV is a 1080p DLP home video projector with full 3D capabilities that is great for living room, home entertainment, gaming, or portable use

The HD25 and HD25-LV are both excellent projectors, but they are built for very different applications. Luckily, the two applications are clearly distinct from one another, so it is not hard to decide which projector is right for you.

Expert Review

Blacks are very good, great for a home entertainment projector.  Give the Optoma an “A”- considering its price.  Handling of dark shadow detail is very good, although not exceptional, really fairly average at the price point, and easily improved upon. ...

Great Projector

I have owned this for 2 years now and have replaced the bulb once, thats over 4 or 6 thousand hours or use. I only use this on eco-mode and have not needed to use the full 3500 lms . We use this for all TV/Streaming viewing for the house it gets used...

This is our main TV and does an awesome job. During the day it works great due to it's brightness if fights off most in room light. It is quite, can't say anything about heat since it is hung. Good zoom, can get 8ft wide screen in a 14ft room.

None, I mean it does everything it says it will on the box, and does them well. Things it could do (but doesn't because it doesn't cost 3 x what it does) No physical lense shift, higher refresh rates at 1080p (I do not use any sources that do anything...
