Arlo Go Review | Trusted Reviews

Arlo Go review: A smart camera that's powered by 4G so you can use it almost anywhere, but it's expensive and doesn't have Wi-Fi.

Works practically anywhere ; Excellent control over when the camera can record ; Upgrade option to cloud activity zones

Expensive ; No Wi-Fi

Running over 4G via the internal SIM card, the Arlo Go is a security camera that can work where others can't, so is ideal for use on an outbuilding, caravan, motorhome or even a boat. It's powerful and easy to configure, and the 720p resolution is good...

Netgear Arlo Go review

A completely wireless security camera with a lot to offer

Portable ; Well built ; Free cloud storage

Expensive – with ongoing costs ; Relies on good signal coverage ; Design is vulnerable to theft

The Arlo Go is an interesting proposition: a totally wireless, waterproof security camera that works using an LTE signal rather than Wi-Fi so that it can – in theory – be placed anywhere with mobile coverage. When it does have signal it’s great. Solid...

Netgear Arlo Go hands-on review

The Arlo Go lets you take the impressive Arlo Pro anywhere you go.

Great feature set ; Weatherproof ; Affordable 4G plans ; SD card slot ; Easy to set up and use

Clips limited to 10 seconds ; Limit on number of minutes recorded per month

Netgear’s Arlo cameras have always put powerful security tools in the hands of DIY-ers, and the Arlo Go takes this to a new level. It certainly isn’t a product that everyone will need, but it could be the perfect product for specific customers. If you...

Netgear's solid LTE security camera still needs some work

Netgear's Arlo Go is a pretty good choice if you need a security camera that connects over a cellular network, but it's far from perfect.

Netgear's $400 Arlo Go camera works over LTE, rather than Wi-Fi, so you don't have to worry about a spotty wireless connection. It comes with 7 days of free video clip cloud storage. The rechargeable battery lasts for weeks.

The motion sensor is adjustable, but overly sensitive -- and Netgear's cellular provider plan is based on the number of alerts you receive. I easily burned through dozens of notifications in an hour or two (and so will you). The base always feels like...

The Arlo Go is a solid camera, but Netgear's pay-by-alert pricing plan is a bad deal, so I'd opt for an AT&T or Verizon plan instead.

Netgear Arlo Go

The Netgear Arlo Go is a completely wireless outdoor surveillance camera that uses cellular communication to deliver live and recorded video to your phone from anywhere.

Completely wireless. Sharp 720p video. Cloud and local storage. Motion and sound detection. Works with other smart devices. Supports IFTTT.

Expensive. Requires a cellular service plan.

The Netgear Arlo Go is an easy-to-use outdoor camera for those who need to monitor outdoor areas that have no access to electricity or Wi-Fi. It uses a rechargeable battery that should provide up to three months of juice with normal use, and it...

Netgear Arlo Go review: This security camera lets you roam free

This indoor/outdoor security camera runs on batteries and a cellular connection, It doesn't need to be in range of your Wi-Fi network.

Connects to the internet from anywhere with celluar service ; Excellent video quality ; Can operate on battery power, so it's entirely wireless

More than twice the cost of many very good Wi-Fi security cameras that aren't battery powered ; Entails the recurring cost of a mobile data plan

Arlo Go is an excellent security camera with all the functionality and ease of use we’ve come to expect from the Arlo line. And Arlo Mobile, which uses AT&T’s nationwide 4G LTE network, worked without a hiccup in my testing.

Review: Arlo Go LTE – no Wi-Fi allowed (review)

Arlo Go LTE is a wireless broadband security camera with a Telco sim socket. It is marketed in Australia by Telstra. Logically, Telstra has bundled it

Good performance on the Tesltra network

Netgear Arlo Go review - onboard 4G SIM allows you to use it anywhere

Netgear's Arlo range of wire free cameras already provide excellent coverage on your home network but now the new Arlo Go can provide the same monitoring anywhere because it has its own SIM card. It is the world's first wire-free weather resistant 4G...

Can be placed anywhere, has a SIM card slot, easy to set-up, rechargable battery.

Expensive, extra cost for SIM card data plan.

With the Arlo Go, Netgear has created a security camera that can literally be placed anywhere and monitor anything to give you peace of mind at all the time. With the Arlo Go, Netgear has created a security camera that can literally be placed anywhere...

Netgear Arlo Go Review: Roaming Free with 4G

As with other Arlo cameras, the Arlo Go offers top-quality video, generally good audio, a generous free cloud-storage plan and flexible scheduling. It's also the first Arlo camera to offer local storage. And, as a cellular device, you can put it...

Cellular connection works without Wi-Fi ; Terrific video quality ; Intelligent, easy-to-use software ; Flexible scheduling and modes ; Geofencing turns camera on/off according to your phone's location

Only one user can access account at a time ; Expensive ; Requires a cellular data plan

Very good video quality, powerful and flexible software, generous free cloud storage and an LTE data connection make the Arlo Go an excellent, if pricey, choice for anyone seeking an outdoor security camera.
