You can find better sounding wireless speakers at the price, but few are more flexible than the Libratone Zipp 2

Cute design ; Wide array of wireless features ; Built-in Alexa

Libratone Zipp 2 review: A sensational-sounding smart speaker

This 3rd gen speaker adds Alexa voice-control, AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect to a solid design and audio base. It is the best wireless home speaker?

Large and loud audio through 360 degrees ; Adaptable sound profiles based on environment placement ; Striking design and zippable jacket looks great ; Integrated Alexa voice control and AirPlay 2

Other similar product sizes deliver more bass ; The price is a little bit high ; Quite large if you’re looking for a true portable (but there’s a ‘Mini’ version)

Like an Amazon Echo Plus on steroids, wearing a striking Scandinavian coat: the Libratone Zipp 2 sticks to its successful roots, marrying great design with good sound, voice control and a decent app. For this much cash we’d like a little more audio...

Hi-fi clarity ; Decent output power ; Handy Alexa smarts

Irritating app ; No USB charging

A classy little hi-fi speaker that’s smart in more ways than one

Libratone Zipp 2 review: The best Amazon Alexa smart speaker

The Danes are back with the Zipp 2 – a speaker that boasts a host of connectivity options and Amazon Alexa, the dandy virtual assistant

Stunning design and build quality ; Excellent sound ; Fantastic connectivity options

A touch expensive ; No Bluetooth aptX support ; Isn’t waterproof

It's rather expensive and is more expensive than the Sonos One, which also boasts excellent sonic qualities. However, the Zipp 2 also sounds spectacularly good, comes with all the juicy connectivity options, and has the ability to be used on-the-go. It...

Libratone Zipp 2

The powerful Libratone Zipp 2 speaker packs a bass-forward sound signature and Alexa voice control in a stylish design.

Powerful audio output with rich bass depth. Compatible with Amazon Alexa and Spotify Connect. Easy-to-use, attractive design.

Lows can overpower mix at times. Mics don't always pick up Alexa commands. Expensive.

So, the Zipp Mini 2 is the more balanced speaker of the two Zipps, but if that matters less to you than a big bass sound, the Zipp 2 is the better option. While it has a powerful output, it lacks truly deep, subwoofer-style bass. This leads us another...
