A low-cost wireless speaker with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

Affordable ; Bluetooth/Wi-Fi streaming is versatile

The Pure Jongo T2 is designed to be an accessible entry point to the world of multi-room and wireless audio. However, ropey sound quality and performance issues are more likely to put you off in the long run.

Pure Digital Jongo T2

The Jongo system isn't quite there yet, but this is still a very affordable entry point to wireless and multiroom music

Affordable first step to multiroom music ; Bluetooth as well as Pure Connect via wi-fi ; Simple setup ; Nice looks

Lacks the audio quality of key rivals ; Pure Connect still has some nagging limitations

The T2 is a very promising unit and system. Most of our niggles with it are software related, and we hope most, if not all, of those will be addressed in the coming months – and that’s a prospect we’re very excited about.

Ideal for anyone already invested in Pure's multi-room speaker system but has no need for portability

If you're looking for an inexpensive entry to multi-room streaming, the Jongo T2 is well worth your consideration. Even with its quirks, Pure's Jongo range should be the multi-room system of choice for anyone looking for the best value.

Pure Jongo T2

Pure's Jongo T2 is among the most affordable starting points for a multi-room wireless audio system out there, but there are more compelling options if you can spend a little more or need just one speaker.

Powerful audio performance for its size. Strong bass response and clarity throughout the mids and highs. Pure Connect app combines your own music library and suggested tracks. Can use both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Pure Connect app is clunky to use. Unless you set up multi-room audio, the Jongo T2 doesn't pose a real advantage over similarly priced Bluetooth speakers.

Conclusions The speaker is a far more compelling product on its own than it is with Pure Connect, but they are more or a less a duo if you want full functionality and support for multi-room audio. Sonos may be more expensive, but its apps have evolved...
