Razer Leviathan review

Razer's sound bar is all about that bass

Bass-heavy sound ; Plenty of inputs ; Supremely priced

Dicey subwoofer connector ; Not true 5.1 ; Limited surround sound

Supporting optical audio, auxiliary and Bluetooth signals, the Leviathan is ready to take on anything your home theater or desktop can throw at it and transform it into a bass-heavy roar. For $199 (£159, AU$279), the Razer Leviathan is a great sound...

The Razer Leviathan is a seriously powerful compact sound bar that's ideal for PC gamers

Razer Leviathan Review

Razer aims at console users as well as PC enthusiasts with its soundbar speaker set

We'd like to see two things added to the Leviathan. A wired remote for easier volume control, maybe even bass control as well as it does need reigning in at lower volumes. These are included with pretty much every 2.1 and higher set we've seen and is...

Razer Leviathan

The Razer Leviathan puts out large sound for such a small speaker system, but its lack of a remote makes it better suited for your desk than your home theater.

Powerful sound for the size and price. Solid music performance. Wired subwoofer adds plenty of low-end kick. Bluetooth connectivity.

No remote. Lacks high-end clarity to really make movies stand out as well as games.

The Razer Leviathan packs a lot of power into a small, relatively inexpensive soundbar, thanks to its wired subwoofer. It makes games sound big and exciting, but it doesn't offer the subtlety needed to bring out the high-end in movies. Built-in...

Razer Leviathan Review

If you were to tell us three years ago that Razer was going to make a Bluetooth speaker, we would have been interested, but now that we're inundated with Bluetooth speakers everywhere, it's pretty hard to get excited. But while Razer's Leviathan sound...

Razer Leviathan Review

It would be fair to say that we have been reviewing products for a fair amount of time here at HardwareHeaven… in fact we are closer to 15 years than we are 10 now. Thinking back through that time we can pick out a number of really stand out products...

Setup of the Leviathan is a fairly simple process. Unbox, connect the sub to the bar and then the bar to the mains and we are ready to think about our sound source. For those who want to connect a smartphone the process couldn’t be simpler if you have...

Razer Leviathan: A Soundbar for Gamers

Razer's onto something with a soundbar aimed at gamers — the virtual surround sound and booming bass improved the gaming experience. And few soundbars at this price also come with a subwoofer; by comparison, JBL's $200 SB100 only includes the main...

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Great while it worked

I do not recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a device without problems in the first 30 days.

Its small, lightweight, and easy to setup. Sounded decent but not awe-inspiring.

This is now, within 30 days is emitting a squealing sound that gives the user a headache even after unplugging all audio outputs and muting the device. Only sounds good if you're sitting directly in front of it.

over price for what you get. its more like paying for the brand name

- great sound / crystal clear - good product quality and it sure doesn't feel cheap

onto the bad thing about this product. first off, NO REMOTE CONTROL. I with this price it would have be nice to have a remote control or an app that you can download for your phone so you can remotely turn it on/off or adjust the volume. Also, I would...
