Scosche BoomBottle H2O is a bike-friendly BT speaker that repels water

While it has sound limitations, particularly in the bass department, the downsized version of Scosche's BoomBottle is a pretty decent little wireless speaker that's travel-friendly and repels water.

The Scosche BoomBottle H2O is a compact, waterproof Bluetooth speaker that offers decent sound for its size and solid 11-hour battery life. It fits in the bottle holder on your bike, can be stood upright on a flat surface, or hung by an included...

No speakerphone capabilities; has trouble with bass-heavy material at higher volumes.

Scosche BoomBOTTLE rugged portable speaker review

It's the obvious question: why would you build and sell a portable speaker that looks like a drinks bottle? The literal answer has some merit: Scosche correctly identifies that cycling with music is fun, but cycling with headphones is dangerous. Thus...

Reasonably priced and well built. If you don't expect awesome audio this portable speaker set will serve you well. The Scosche BoomBOTTLE is ideal for active types who like to make noise when out and about in the great outdoors.

Scosche BoomBottle review

This tough, long-lasting speaker is your perfect companion if you can't get enough of the great outdoors

If, on the other hand, you do most of your listening around the home, Cambridge Audio Minx Go is less resilient but sounds better.

Scosche BoomBOTTLE brings big beats to bikes, beaches

If there's one major problem I have with most Bluetooth speakers designed for use with iOS devices, it's that they share a boring design. Let's face it; most...

Scosche BoomBottle MM

The Scosche Boombottle MM speaker delivers relatively solid Bluetooth audio and some excellent outdoor-friendly features, like opening bottles.

Gets quite loud, with rich, bright sound signature. Waterproof design. Magnetic accessories allow for speaker to be mounted on a variety of surfaces, and for phone to mount on speaker.

Can distort on deep bass at top volumes. DSP limits dynamics.

The Schosch BoomBottle MM is an outdoor-friendly speaker first, and an audio-focused speaker second. It typically delivers a crisp response with some solid low-mid richness, except when there is some rare distortion on deep bass tracks at top volumes....

Scosche BoomBottle+

The Scosche BoomBottle+ is a very rugged, outdoor-friendly portable Bluetooth speaker that suffers from distortion issues with deep bass.

Solid audio performance at moderate volumes. Rugged design. Indoor and Outdoor EQ modes. Can charge external mobile devices.

Distorts significantly on tracks with deep bass.

Performance and Conclusions Let's briefly discuss the excellent Indoor/Outdoor modes. When you're outdoors, you tend to have few walls nearby, if any, which means you get fewer audio reflections, and thus, sound dies more easily. Higher frequencies in...

Scosche BoomBottle H2O

The Scosche BoomBottle H20 is a rugged, waterproof Bluetooth speaker that should be considered for its durability, if not its audio performance.

Waterproof. Delivers crisp, clean audio at moderate volumes. Can get quite loud on tracks lacking deep bass.

Minor distortion on tracks with deep bass at high volumes. No speakerphone functionality. Light on accessories.

Clearly, the selling point of the BoomBottle H2O is not its high fidelity audio performance; it can get quite loud for its size, but has issues with deep bass. The reason to own this speaker is its wonderful ability to get wet and keep working. It can...

Scosche BoomBottle H2O is a bike-friendly BT speaker that repels water

While it has sound limitations, particularly in the bass department, the downsized version of Scosche's BoomBottle is a pretty decent little wireless speaker that's travel-friendly and repels water.

Scosche BoomBottle H2O yellow

Probably not. But compared to Scosche's BoomBottle ($150, £120, but can be found cheaper online) which was released in May 2013, and the newer and smaller BoomBottle H2O ($100, £100), that iHome seems quite primitive. That's because the Scosche...
