A hybrid Windows 8 tablet that throws a desktop dock and Bluetooth keyboard into the fray

Strong 11.6-inch Full HD display ; Well-made tablet ; Full Windows 8 OS

Cheap, plastic dock ; Heavy ; Uncomfortably large

It's comfortably the Acer Iconia W700's best feature.

High-end 11.6-inch Windows 8 tablet

Clever dock system ; Great connectivity ; Clear screen ; Affordable

Hard to carry dock ; Lacks grunt ; Flimsy dock

The Acer Iconia W700 comes the closest of all the tablets we've seen to being able to replicate the experience of a laptop. However, while you do get a lot for your money, we'd recommend the Core i5 version if you want a rich Windows experience.
