Asus Memo Pad 8 ME181CX Tablet (Pro 7 Entertainment Pad) Review

We love? The Memo Pad 8 from Asus is also available as “Pro Sieben Entertainment Pad”. In cooperation with the media group, the buyer supposedly gets a "100 Euros (~$125) Entertainment Voucher". Read our review to find out what this means and if the...

Thin case, Grippy back cover, Free months for many Pro Sieben apps, Good software with many options, Reliable touchscreen, Decent display with color settings, High system performance

You can easily twist the case, Many advertisement apps from Pro Sieben, Websites sometimes with long loading times, Slow and inaccurate GPS, Bad picture quality of the camera, Meager speaker sound, Only average battery runtimes despite the good...

You should know that there are better offers than the Pro Sieben Entertainment Pad in this price range. The cameras are basically a joke, the GPS module is pretty slow and inaccurate, the stability of the case leaves room for improvements, and data...

Was a great tablet for the price.

Good value for the price

Hopefully Android will update to Lollipop. Really like the 8" compared to 7" units.

Unit has worked very well for what I wanted it for - email, document access (PDF, Office, etc.), low demand games. Great for general web-surfing, shopping, news, sports, etc. Battery life excellent if you take the time to adjust the screen intensity....

Will hesitate on some demanding graphics, but not designed to handle that. The mini power plug could be delicate so one needs to be careful with it. I have had no problem with it.

Won't hold charge, won't charge more than 55%

runs android

Lost charge, but didn't use device Only charged 53% after 4 hours plugged in This item is on the fast path to become a brick. Of course this happened one day after 30 days of use. Do not buy ASUS - junk.

The Night of the Living Bloatware!

Not bad if you want to get a tablet that you have a few undemanding tasks in mind for. I got this so I could draw pixel art on the go, and it will run pixel art apps without fuss, so I'm fairly happy with what I got. Just don't expect to pay $99 for a...

It's a cheap, functional Android tablet that's still made by a reputable hardware manufacturer. Gets decent battery life before needing to lay down in its USB-powered coffin to recharge. Build quality is sturdy enough to stop a silver bullet - but...

Asus's bloatware will TERRIFY you!! *castle thunder* Even Samsung can't hold a candle to how much unremoveable, unwanted, possibly undead bloatware Asus shoves down your throat and prevents you from removing without first rooting the tablet and...

Bloated.

I wasted $99.

This would be a great tablet if it weren't filled with superfluous apps that aren't disabled when you go into the settings and manually disabled them. They will keep spawning. Going into Developer Mode helps, but soon your maximum background process...

I wasted $99. This is available for as low as $60 from other marketplaces. Don't buy it
