Google Nexus 10

Is this the Android tablet to finally beat the iPad at its own game? We think it might well be

Gorgeous, high-definition display ; Slick operation and fast processing ; Sits comfortably in the hand (in landscape mode) ; Android OS offers lots of flexibility and customisation

Jelly Bean 4.2.1 prone to freezes/random reboots ; Rubber finish might not be to all tastes ; Connectivity could be better

In any case, it’s worth noting that the Nexus 10’s curves don’t actually look as pronounced when the tablet is in your hands as they do in photographs of the tablet. Besides which, there are actually some practical benefits to the accentuated curves;...

Google Nexus 10 review

A great value full size tablet with only a few minor shortcomings

Powerful processor ; High-res screen ; Android 4.4

No 3G/4G option ; No expandable storage ; Muted colours for media

The Nexus 10 may be getting on a bit, but if you want a full size tablet that doesn't cost the earth you'll get a full HD display and powerful processor - there's no expandable storage or SIM option though.

Can the Google Nexus 10 by Samsung stack up against Apple's new iPad 4?

iPad-beating display ; Jelly Bean updates ; Speed

Lack of dedicated apps ; Wi-Fi only ; Case

Google Nexus 10

A superb display, fast interface and competitive price make the Nexus a great bet

Slim and light ; Fast interface ; Google Play content ; Excellent video ; Good sound

No 3G/4G model ; Needs more tablet apps ; Lacks premium feel

Offering a good few quid saving on the new iPad, it’s hard not to be impressed with the Nexus 10. Video is superb and music isn’t far behind, while the interface, features and content offerings are thorough.

Google Nexus 10

The Nexus 10 is Google's latest big Android tablet. It follows a line of 10-inch devices that started with the Motorola Xoom, back in 2010, with the launch of Honeycomb, before the baton passed to Samsung. The Nexus 10 brings with it some enhancements...

Stunning screen, very well priced, fast processor and decent specs

Not all that beautiful, battery life is bad, no expandable memory

The Nexus 10 brings with it some enhancements for tablets, the key one being the high-resolution display. It's a glorious thing to behold and it's difficult to cast our eyes on lesser Android tablets now as a result.

A brilliant tablet with a wonderful screen and an even more wonderful price. Only a slightly below-average battery life holds it back

Google Nexus 10 vs Apple iPad 2 comparison review

With just £10 being the difference between the Google Nexus 10 and Apple iPad 2's price, and the iPad 2 still being sold by Apple, we thought we'd put the two popular tablets next to each other to see how they measured up to one another. Here's our...

That the Nexus 10 is only £10 more than the iPad 2 is, on the face of it, outrageously good value. The Nexus is brand new, has an unsurpassed display, and offers the best all-round performance of any tablet around. The iPad 2 remains on sale to give...

Nexus 10 vs Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is not like other tablets - it uses Samsung's 'S-Pen' stylus for input, and has a highly customised version of Android 4, aimed at making it perfect for creative types. By contrast the Nexus 10 is the latest high-end...

The Note 10.1 is an interesting and useful tablet. It's S-Pen offers creative options that make it unique amongst today's breed of tablets. It is reasonably priced and performs well. But the Nexus 10 is a game changer: the first tablet that can...

Nexus 10 vs Surface RT vs iPad 4 tablet comparison review

Smartphone and tablet users tend to fall into two categories: those who are diehard Apple fans and seemingly willing to pay any price for its fashionable hardware, and those who prefer the semi-open approach of Google's Android operating system and the...

It's impossible to give a definitive verdict when so many of the choices in this product category are subjective. The iPad is probably still the best tablet around, but the Nexus 10 gives it a close run for its money despite costing so much less. It...
