HP Slatebook x2

HP's Android tablet/laptop mash-up is no match for the Transformer Pad.

Plenty of connectivity, Solid, robust design, Keyboard with decent travel

Average battery life, Dim screen, Slightly cramped keyboard

HP Slatebook 10 X2 review

Great value for Tegra 4 and a keyboard dock, but screen quality is mediocre

HP SlateBook x2 review

The HP SlateBook x2 is a "woulda, coulda, shoulda" Android tablet that doesn't quite justify its $480 price tag.

The HP SlateBook x2 tablet includes a physical keyboard hub, dual batteries, full USB and HDMI ports, and two storage expansion slots.

The screen has a constant yellowish tint, apps take their time to load, the keyboard is cramped, and the tablet's ridges are distracting when you attempt to hold it in one hand. The price feels high given what you get overall, and there's no GPS hardware.

Though it boasts plenty of ports and a physical keyboard, the SlateBooks x2's offerings don't quite match its $480 price.

HP SlateBook x2

HP makes a strong attempt at a proper convertible with the SlateBook x2, a screaming-fast, Tegra 4-powered Android tablet, but it's not without flaws.

Very fast quad-core processor. Sharp screen resolution. Comfy keyboard. Useful convertible design. Two memory card slots.

Dim display. Short battery life. Not exceptionally lightweight. Buggy.

The SlateBook x2 runs Android 4.2.2 out of the box, and it's barely skinned, so an Android 4.3 update shouldn't be too difficult (although HP hasn't set a date yet). A two-fingered swipe switches between Android home screens. This being an HP tablet,...

Review HP SlateBook x2 10-h010nr Tablet

Handy detachable. The 10.1-inch SlateBook x2 joins the 11.6-inch Envy x2 and 13.3-inch Split x2 as one of HP's key products in the detachable notebook category. It is also the least expensive model of the x2 series at a starting price of $480 and is...

Powerful hardware and responsive software ; Bright IPS glass display ; Dense 1920 x 1200 resolution ; Good build quality ; HDMI 1.4, SD and microSD ; Extra-wide touchpad ; Dual batteries ; Lightweight ; Low starting price

No local USB port on tablet ; Only one USB port available ; Locking mechanism could have been more firm ; MicroSD slot is hidden when attached to keyboard dock ; All-around plastic ; Poor keyboard travel and feedback ; No keyboard backlight and small...

Excellent performance and well-made hardware for a mainstream device. The pre-installed HP software are minimal and can actually be useful instead of simple bloatware

Review: HP SlateBook x2 – Not Ready For Work

Fast, Responsive, Sharp display, Good keyboard dock, Rear-mounted volume/power controls, 64 GB internal storage, Mouse works

Software not suitable for work, Yellow tint on display, Unimpressive battery life, Bulky charger

While it’s great that HP is experimenting with the SlateBooks, the problem lies in the fact that this product is still a work in progress. Most of the issues we had with the HP SlateBook x2 are more to do with software rather than hardware itself. For...

HP SlateBook x2 Review: A Potentially Good Device With One Unfixable Flaw

Conclusions are always the most difficult part of a review, because oftentimes people jump straight to the bottom to form an opinion of the device (perhaps stopping to look at the benchmarks along the way). As a result, it's incredibly important to...

HP SlateBook x2 Review

For Rs. 39,990 you have a lot of high-end tablets at your disposal. Sure, the highlight of the HP Slatebook X2 is the Tegra 4 chipset powering it and it is a beast especially if you are one who would like to play games on the device. We'd recommend you...

Extremely well-built, Wide viewing angles, Stock Android UI, Keyboard dock has its own battery and is very well-built

Expensive, Display lacks vibrancy, Low audio output
