Nokia 770 Internet Tablet

With most of us now having wireless networks at home and the urge to be on the Internet more and more (hey your online reading this aren't you?) Nokia believes that its 770 Internet Tablet is the way that we will be viewing the web and emails in the...

Wi-Fi, ability to stream internet radio, Google Talk if you’re a member

Can't really see the point, glorified PDA without all the Mobile 5 software

Mrs Pocket-lint, who seems to be more sceptical of these things than we are, loved the concept but was unsure about the price. However, she did like the idea that the one off fee although expensive meant that it didn't come with any hidden costs and on...

The 770 promises a pocket-sized browser in a stylish box. But is it more gimmick than über-gadget

Nokia 770 review

A flexible, easy to use mailer that should have equal consideration to a Blackberry

Beautiful design and clear operation makes the 770 a joy to use – as long as you don't get text heavy with emails

Nokia 770

We get our hands on Nokia's mysterious tablet device.

Nokia has done a fine job of tailoring the Linux OS to match the interfaces found in its other handsets and the touchscreen system makes navigation even simpler.

The lack of keyboard means that website addresses have to be input using either a virtual keyboard or using the system's built-in handwriting recognition software.

Nokia 770 Linux Internet Tablet

An interesting device, but not a great one. While geeks will love the openness of the Linux tablet, consumers won't have the patience.

Nokia 770 Internet Tablet review

We can't help really liking the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet, but in a geeky kind of way. Its screen is great and it is quite handy to have a Web tablet around the home. But it is expensive. You can get a Wi-Fi capable PDA for the same money that can...

Nokia 770 internet tablet sees Nokia veer into non-phone territory

Props to Nokia for totally rescuing a slow news day by dropping this in our laps: the Nokia 770 looks sort of like a tricked out 7710, but the crazy thing is, it's not a phone. It's an internet appliance aimed squarely at your living room, designed to...

Nokia 770 Internet Tablet

The Nokia 770 boasts a gorgeous, high-resolution screen that makes stunning Web pages. It has a full-featured Web browser and an e-mail client, plus it supports Internet radio and RSS newsfeeds. The 770 is attractive, easy to use, and great at...

The Nokia 770 suffers from extremely sluggish operation, with most movies and Flash animations too slow to be useful, and it relies only on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for connectivity. Unfortunately, VoIP and instant-messaging features have not yet been...

The reasonably priced Nokia 770 is a neat idea and a slick device, but slow performance and a few missing features keep it from realizing its potential.
