Vaio Z Canvas review

I've never wanted a tablet. Never saw the point. If I'm at home, I've got a desktop. On the go, I want a laptop for typing. But there are those people for whom the pen is mightier -- people who paint and draw and sketch. These are the people who might...

The Vaio Z Canvas offers the performance of a 15-inch MacBook Pro in a 12-inch Windows 10 tablet, with a unique design that makes it suitable as a mobile workstation.

Vaio's included stylus isn't as responsive as those on competing tablets. It's pretty pricey for a PC.

Creative professionals may be tempted by the Vaio Z Canvas, but a more comfortable MacBook Pro or Surface Pro will generally be the better buying decision.

Review: Vaio Z Canvas

First off, don't call it a Sony. You may have forgotten, but Sony isn't making laptops (or Windows tablets) any more, having divested the Vaio brand to Japan Industrial Partners last year. JIP is keeping Vaio alive, and the Vaio Z Canvas is aimed...

Best-in-class performance in a tablet system – it even boots up in record time. Detachable keyboard is clever and works really well (as long as you aren't in airplane mode). Ethernet, bitches

Battery life is simply unacceptable for a tablet. Dim screen won't thrill any creative I know. Price tag has Elon Musk nodding in silent approval

Can Vaio work the kinks out of this product and have the accountants take another look at that price tag? We’ll see come 2016, but for now, if you desire great power and are willing to accept great responsibility, bust out your checkbook and dive right...

Vaio Z Canvas review: A Windows tablet more powerful than a Surface Pro 4

Vaio Z Canvas

Microsoft Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 have a competitor: the Vaio Z Canvas. The Vaio brand is back under new ownership, but the engineers and Vaio crew are hard at work in their new home. This is an impressively powerful 12.3" Windows 10 Pro...

Insanely powerful for a tablet, excellent integrated stand, stunning wide color gamut display. Plenty of ports. Runs cool and quiet

This sort of tech is expensive. CPU is Haswell generation. Too heavy as a tablet for some

The Vaio Z Canvas is an amazing piece of technology--it's a dream PC or tablet in a world where most products make compromises due to pricing constraints or lack of engineering prowess. It's uncompromisingly fast--twice as fast as the Surface Book/...
