Panasonic TX-L65WT600

No TV takes 4K more seriously.

Native 4K pictures generally look stunning, Upscaling is exceptional at removing noise, Brilliant 3D playbak

Native contrast not the best, Local dimming and adaptive contrast tools are a bit clumsy, More video streaming services would be good

First Look: Panasonic looks set to take 4K to the next level.

Cutting edge connections ; Impressive 4K-focussed picture features ; Pictures look stunning in demo conditions

Possible backlight blocking artefacts ; May be a little complicated to use ; Slightly more expensive than some rivals

Panasonic TX-L65WT600 review

This is the shape of 4K Ultra HD TVs to come - packing HDMI 2.0 and amazing pictures

Fabulous 4K image quality ; HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 for 2160p 50/60Hz support ; Intuitive user interface ; Statement glass and metal design ; Dual tuners

Lacklustre audio performance ; Limited catch-up services ; Poor off axis viewing

Panasonic's TX-L65WT600 offers the first sighting of tomorrow's high frame rate 4K, and it's a thrilling display.

Panasonic TX-L65WT600

The Panasonic WT600 is a very capable TV regardless of its futureproofing and 4K picture

Handles 4K footage very well ; Strong broadcast performance ; Realistic colours

Not the final word in black levels ; 3D and motion lack finesse ; Sounds poor

The fact that the Panasonic TX-L65WT600 already has the required HDMI 2.0 hardware for 4K gives it the jump on rival screens.

Panasonic TX-L65WT600 review

The only thing certain about the next evolution in broadcast technology is its uncertainty. 4K/Ultra HD may be widely accepted as the next step from 1080p Full HD, but even broadcasters have yet to agree a specification. While BSkyB looks certain to go...

Outstanding native 50/60Hz 4K image quality; HDMI 2.0 compatible; DisplayPort 1.2a compatible; excellent My Home Screen interface; high-quality upscaling

Mediocre audio performance; limited catch-up TV services

Panasonic TX-L65WT600 Smart Viera 4K TV review

The Panasonic TX-L65WT600 is the first 4K Ultra-HD television to acknowledge that the future of TV is not just higher resolution, but higher frame rates as well. The Panasonic TX-L65WT600 is the first next-generation 4K Ultra HD TV that offers...

Sensational native 4K image quality, future-proofed Ultra HD high frame rate support via HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPoint 1.2a, excellent 1080p upscaling, intuitive My Home Screen user interface

Underwhelming audio performance, limited catch-up services, relatively poor off-axis viewing

The Panasonic TX-L65WT600 is the first next-generation 4K Ultra HD TV that offers future-proofing straight from the box. And that makes it the best 4K TV out there in our minds.

Panasonic TX-L65WT600 Ultra-High Definition 4K TV review

As with the rest of Panasonic's business-class fleet, there are two Freeview HD tuners and paired Freesat HD tuners onboard. The inclusion of multiple tuners opens up novel viewing options. A MultiWindow preview mode allows the main screen to be scaled...

It may be early days for 4K Ultra HD, with commercial content still at least a year away, but this HDMI 2.0 debutant hints at what we can expect. In the meantime, thanks to the provision of DisplayPort, you can hook up a PC and enjoy the set's ultra...

Panasonic TX-L65WT600 (WT600) Ultra HD 4K TV Review

Panasonic unveiled the WT600 at IFA 2013, heralding the dawn of HDMI 2.0.

Impressive blacks and contrast ; Very accurate colours ; Top-notch 3D ; Lovely user interface ; Built-in access to 4K material ; Nice set of smart features

Very noticeable panel banding ; Poor viewing angles ; Inadequate dimming system ; Unavoidable haloing ; Price ; Blurring with broadcast sports

The Panasonic WT600 has a number of unique cards up its sleeve. It’s currently the only TV in existence blessed with a HDMI 2.0 capable input as well as carrying a DisplayPort connection. It can also browse and stream MPEG-4 video from the web in 4K...

Panasonic TC-L65WT600: A better 4K input, but so what?

The lone Panasonic LCD TV with 4K resolution, model TC-L65WT600, includes an input capable of handling faster frame rates than its competition. Its other issues, however, prevent it from earning our recommendation, even to the few who want a 4K TV now.

The ; 4K/Ultra High Definition LED LCD TV is the only one that currently complies with HDMI 2.0, accepting a 4K input at 60 frames per second. Delivers good picture quality with relatively deep black levels and accurate color; superb bright-room image;...

Exceedingly expensive and a poor value compared with 1080p TVs; improvements afforded by 4K resolution are minimal to nonexistent; imprecise local dimming causes some blooming and washout

An input that's more future-proof than its competitors' fails to make the Panasonic TC-P65WT600 a recommendable 4K TV.
