The Samsung PNF8500 series exhibits outstanding picture quality with a class-leading bright-room image, exceedingly deep black levels, very good shadow detail, highly accurate colors and superb off-angle and uniformity characteristics; mind-boggling...

Extremely expensive; correct film cadence requires sacrificing some black level; remote lacks numerous direct commands; imperfect cable box control; consumes more power than LCD TVs.

The Samsung F8500 is the brightest plasma TV ever, and is even able to challenge some LEDs. While its blacks don't beat plasmas from Panasonic (like the ), they are still very good. The only downside is the anti-glare filter produces some slight...

Brighter than any plasma. It is the only plasma that can be put in a bright room. ; Good anti-glare filter with very few reflections. ; Low input lag.

Although its blacks are good, they aren't as good as in equivalent models from Panasonic.

Internet connectivity is excellent. It looks great. Images/colors appear washed out but I've yet to fully calibrate the tv...I hope that improves things otherwise I will be disappointed with the image quality.

Used with a Blu-ray 3d the picture is great. It is a very satisfying television on virtually every level.

Typical Samsung, it takes a while to understand how the remote etc works and the e-manual is ok but you have to refer to both the screen and remote settings at the same time as the remote which becomes confusing. In the end I downloaded from Samsung...
