TCL 55DP648 review: nothing like the excellent US models but a good, cheap TV nonetheless for those not fussed about HDR.

It's seriously cheap ; Reasonably wide colour for a budget set ; Beautiful, ultra-slim design

Pictures aren't bright enough for an HDR TV ; Limited effective viewing angle ; Feeble sound and sluggish operating system

4K on a budget

4K on a budget ; Sleek, well-designed remote

No Roku TV ; Motion blur

The TCL DP648 promises 4K on a budget, and it does just that. It can't compete with more high-end models, and the picture processing can make HDR content come out looking worse for wear. But TCL's 4K set still offers a fair amount for the price.
