iRobot Roomba 960 and 966 review: A high-end robot vacuum at a reasonable price

Reliable, low-maintenance automatic cleaning but not the most powerful suction

Hardly ever gets stuck ; Confident navigation ; Alexa and Google Home integration

Not the most powerful suction ; Doesn't clean right to the edges

Overall, though, despite the slightly underpowered motor, the Roomba 960 is a solid choice. It's reasonably priced and although its suction power may not be the best it is packed with clever features and, most importantly, it hardly ever gets stuck....

iRobot Roomba 960

The iRobot Roomba 960 isn't cheap, but thanks to a mix of premium features and performance, it's the best high-end robot vacuum for the price.

Good navigation capabilities. Handles different floor types well. Relatively quiet. Works with smartphone app and voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Shows map of cleaned areas.

Occasionally gets stuck under low furniture. Can't steer using phone app.

While it certainly isn't cheap, compared with the $1,000 Dyson 360 Eye and the $900 Roomba 980, the Roomba 960 is a good deal. For $700, you get a lot of advanced features, like a camera for better navigation, Wi-Fi, voice assistant compatibility, and...

iRobot Roomba 960 review: This robot vacuum leaves all others in its dust

It's worth pinching your pennies for the Roomba 960's premium features and superb performance.

Navigates obstacles and different floor types seamlessly ; Supports Google Home and Amazon Alexa voice commands ; Wi-Fi enabled

Doesn't support manual navigation

The Roomba 960 isn’t cheap, but you get your money’s worth. Navigation is better than what you get from robot vacuums that use sensors alone, and because it isn’t slowed by obstacles or transitioning from one floor surface to another, you’re not...

Consumer review (ao.com)

It's a game changer

"Roomba 960 Review Many people often talk about something being a life-changer. It is only a slight exaggeration to put the Roomba 960 Robotic Vacuum Cleaner in that bracket. If ever you want a reminder that we are living in the 21st century, a robot...
