Consumer review (productreview.com.au)

bullet proof

No complaints, or issues, everything still original. Machine has run flawlessly for over 20 years, being used at least once a week ! Highly recommended ! There's no need to write to meet the fifty one word minimum requirement, when I only needed 26 to...

Kept going for more than 10 years!!

s. That said, what she lacks in terms of any 21st century technology / look or feel, is made up for in build quality. There just seems to be more steel parts contained in this machine as compared with many of today's 'plastic fantastics.' Of course,...

Sturdy / built to last / reliable / Could fit a truckload of washing inside our 7.5kg drum!

It is a big / heavy machine, and is far too fussy when it comes to balancing heavier loads.

Kept going for more than 10 years!!

My mum owns this machine (though only for a few days longer, since it started to make stange noises out of the blue and finally stopped draining water as of yesterday - a faulty / blocked pump, not sure?). Anyway, we can't remember the exact year, but...

Trustworthy, solid, no-frills performer, 14 years of amazing service.

I've had this machine new, since 1998 when we built our new house. It's served a family of 4, around 2 loads a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and has never given up. In 2004, we had an issue with the drain pump, because of a coin being stuck in...

very solid, simple, reliable, cheap, great wash results, no frills.

quite loud while spinning in it's old age, uses a s*** load of water, and they probably don't make them with the same qualoty today as they did 13 years ago.

Good

Have had this unit for about 8 years now. Totally faultless service. For the first 4 years was doing at least 10 loads per week. The last 4 years maybe 3 loads. Different family circumstances. Have had no trouble with it at all. But lately, has become...

Totally reliable.

A touch noisy in spin cycle.

Excellent

22S750J bloody good machine served me since 1999. Say no more. Works and washes every time I commanded her. She is a beautie mate. Simpson should take me machine back to Aussie for case and development studies. My next machine will be the same. What is...

Reliable and trustworthy like me

Bad

It looks good but it dosnt stay balanced so i hate it. Its noisy and old fashioned.\ i have a F&P at the holiday house and it dosnt go out of balance like this piece of [censored word removed]

Nice big machine and its simple 100 year old technology.

This thing is allways out of balance. We bought it new and its been banging around for a year. Its weird, why do they have the bowl wollowing around like that? It goes out of balance that bad that the bowl hits the sides?

Consumer review (productreview.com.au)

Good

We got this machine second hand and have had no troubles with it in the 2 years we've had it. It gets quite heavy use, and clothes always come out clean and lovely. The washing cycles provide enough variation without the ridiculous controls of some...

Simple to use, nice big size, no electronics to play up, easy to clean filter etc. cleans clothes nicely

Nothing major - no mechanical issues or anything

Consumer review (productreview.com.au)

Terrible

Purchased the machine in 2004 as a "pro rata" replacement for an equivalent Simpson machine, which we had owned for less than 3 years. The machine was going to be too expensive to be repaired. The replacement machine developed a leaking tub seal and...

Nothing, except for the $6.00 scrap metal value!

The number of faults and unreliability. High water usage.

Consumer review (productreview.com.au)

Good

After the disaster of owning a Fisher & Paykel (never, ever again) we felt that we would prefer a simpler machine without the fancy electronics and motherboard problems that are endemic(in our experience) to F&P. Waited over a year to review the...

This machine has been used daily for over a year and no problems at all.

The beep at the end. Do manufactures all think we are so dumb that we cannot check that the wash is finished?
