Fight Night Champion

EA Canada recover well after the shambles that was FNR4.

In conclusion, Fight Night Champion is by far the greatest boxing game to date. I hope the developers realise just how much potential the story mode has, since this should be the main focus of single player in any future boxing games. The Legacy mode...

Fight Night Round 4 Xbox 360 Review

It seems in recent years that EA has become the only contender when it comes to developing boxing games. Series such as Victory Boxing, Ready 2 Rumble and Super Punch no longer offer any challenge, and so EA has been left to its own devices without...

If you’re a boxing fan this comes highly recommended, and it’s worth checking out even if you’re not a fan of the ‘sweet science’. Great production values from EA, which hasn’t rested on its laurels and has gone all out to make a great game. Cracking.

Fight Night Round 4

It's easy to think back on how great Fight Night Round 3 looked for its time, but a lot has changed in the three years since its release. Luckily, Round 4 is no slouch.

Improved controls and presentation, robust feature set including online modes/integration

Legacy mode could use some variety, not quite as much a step up as Round 3

Fight Night Round 4 lacks some of the wow factor of its predecessor, but it builds upon the strengths of Round 3 and corrects most of its weaknesses. Three years is a long time to wait for a sports sequel, but Round 4 is an excellent and necessary...

Fight Night Round 4

With the soaringly high standards EA set with Fight Night Round 3 almost three years ago, it's hard to imagine how they could one-up themselves. In essence, the predecessor of Fight Night Round 4 is its biggest competitor, but the new champ manages to...

As you can see, Fight Night Round 4 isn't low on innovation and if it weren't for the exclusion of button control, the game would have been very close to perfect. As it stands, the game improves upon Round 3 in almost all areas, and delivers one of the...

Fight Night Round 4

Though definitely an improvement over its predecessor, this boxing game isn't without a few problems.

Great roster of fighters that you can add user-created characters to ; Fast-paced action that encourages you to think like a boxer ; Powerful character creation tools ; Great fight commentary and sound effects ; Online play is almost always lag-free

Mindlessly spamming punches is more effective than it should be ; Some of the career mode mini-games are frustratingly difficult

Fight Night Round 4's greatest strength is that while it's accessible and relatively easy for newcomers, it can also be challenging and rewarding for pugilism perfectionists. It's unfortunate that online matches are being dominated by players who are...

Review: Fight Night Champion (Xbox 360)

Fight Night Champion is the latest entry in the line from premier games house Electronic Arts. Expectations from any EA game are always high, and in Champion, they have delivered a great game, a good story and also improved on previous versions.

Improved Boxing Control, Entertaining Story, good graphics

Ludicrously difficult final “boss”, loading times/movies hard to skip.

Fight Night Champion Review

If you've played the Fight Night Champion demo, you have an idea about the new control scheme, which is called Full Spectrum Punch Control (FSPC). This is a total revamp from years past of Total Punch Control that had been used in the previous Fight...

One thing that Fight Night Champion has that makes it stand out over the “great” Fight Night Round 3 is an all-new story mode that had me hooked from the very beginning. It is called Champion Mode and it nails the Rocky IV movie type better than any...

Fight Night Champion

The Fight Night franchise has been one of the more consistent series for EA Sports over the years. Fight Night Round 3 in a lot of ways started off

We are finally beginning to see innovation within sports video games and Fight Night Champion truly is step forward not only for boxing but sports video games in general. It not only proves that stories can be an integral part of a sports video game...
