Halo 3: ODST - Review

The Halo-verse soldiers on

Gargantuan! I agree about the filter. As awesome as it is, switching it off made me realise just how awesome those environments look without any dressing. Lighting seems vastly improved in places.

Halo 3: ODST

There's a hint of awkwardness from Senior Designer, Lars Bakken when we ask him what he made of writer Stuart Beattie's recent quote stating that Halo is "our generation's Star Wars."

dont forget halo reach is coming

Halo 3: ODST

The newest iteration of Microsoft's Halo doesn't leave you much time to catch your breath; Halo 3: ODST literally drops you right into the action. In terms of the Halo timeline this game sits right between Halo 2 and the events of Halo 3. In ODST, you...

New multiplayer options. Different weapons. New main character

Some environments are too dark. Not a big departure from Halo 3 in campaign mode

Halo 3: ODST is a prequel to Halo 3, but with plenty of tweaks to the original game and new multiplayer options, this first-person shooter still feels fresh.

Halo 3: ODST - Gamefreaks Review

It hurts to breathe, you can't see, and hot plasma is still burning in your left leg, making you dizzy. Around the next corner is a Covenant patrol Â- four Grunts and an armoured Brute soldier, looking for survivors. You're an ODST, and there's no big,...

Halo 3: ODST

The Halo saga continues with this beefed up expansion pack that gives gamers a chance to play as an ODST. Are you prepared to drop (and to read our review)?

On one hand, Halo 3: ODST is a no-brainer purchase for fans, thanks to the new story and the addictive Firefight mode. It’s a classically fun Halo experience but on the other hand, if you’re looking for something truly different or innovative, you...

Halo 3 ODST Review (Xbox 360)

There always seems to be a little madness surrounding a launch of a Halo game, but this time the madness seems to be more centered around the price of the game. It's like many reviewers went into the game not to play it, but evaluate it on price. For...

Halo 3: ODST (Xbox 360) Review

Halo 3: ODST is finally here, but is it a full fledged, self standing game?

Halo 3: ODST - Review

The Halo franchise is something of a gaming phenomenon, selling more than 27 million video games over the course of its fairly short lifetime. It has become the flagship series for Microsoft's consoles and helped move developer Bungie into a top-tier...

Halo 3: ODST includes a number of new enemy types and various different weapons for gamers to kill them with. The entire feel is very different from previous Halo games, yet is still has that familiar aspect that fans have come to expect. The best way...

Halo 3: ODST Review

Halo 3: ODST began as an idea for a simple expansion to Halo 3. It would be just a few hours long and help tide the fans over until Halo: Reach is ready in late 2010. That little idea grew to be so much more. The end result is a package that no Halo...

There are places where Halo 3: ODST could be improved, but when it comes right down to it, every Halo fan should buy this game. Even if you've lost interest in the franchise over the years or haven't ever given a Halo game a look, you'd do well to grab...

Halo 3: ODST 360 Review

The year was 2001. It was a year of uncertainty and depression. That is, until the world was introduced to a half-ton super soldier capable of single-handedly winning a war, known to the people as the Master Chief. We got placed firmly in his oversized...

Entire Halo 3 multiplayer experience ; Great new campaign ; Amazing musical score ; Firefight mode is great ; New features are great ; Cons ; Too bad there aren't many ; Same old Halo 3 graphics ; No new multiplayer modes ; Campaign not as replayable...

Too bad there aren't many ; Same old Halo 3 graphics ; No new multiplayer modes ; Campaign not as replayable as Halo 3's

This game has allot of competition if it wants to take the cake for shooter of the year, what with Operation Flashpoint 2 and Modern Warfare 2 both coming out in the next few months. But gamers love the Halo series and this is one of the best games of...
