Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 DS

Portable football games have always been a slightly curious bunch, harking right back to my days of playing the rather naff World Cup '94 on the original chunky brick Game Boy. You see, all my memories of the video game version of footy are based...

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008

Another year and another Pro Evolution Soccer game, but this is the first year that Konami have fallen in line with EA and added a year instead of a number to the title. PES 2008, otherwise known as Pro Evolution Soccer 7, has made a belated appearance...

In short, this is a respectable transfer to gaming the road for Konami's series - I would advise setting up the title and then putting your PSP in "sleep" mode before you go out though, due to the prohibitive loading times. It certainly provides a fun...

Loyalty is a strange beast. Often noble, but equally as frequently it pushes the boundaries of reason beyond breaking point. Football fans spend a lot of time thinking why on Earth they take up their day to follow their team across the country to eat...

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (Wii) Review

Read our review for one of the best games on the Wii!

Controls are perfect; Large amount of modes; Jump-in style game play; Online mode and features work well

More team customisation would of been nice; Graphics are a little on the poor side; More Mii features please

REVIEW: Faking injury with the press of a button.

Single-player A.I. responds intelligently to your tactics

Replays are nothing more than a glorified slideshow.; Online play is full of lag and bugs, making it annoying to actually play

Why would we want to highlight one of the most underhanded moves in sports: faking injury?

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 Review

Steven Gerrard skips past two defenders after being supplied with the perfect throw. He then knocks the ball in front of him and slams a 30 yard screamer into the top right corner. The crowd is going wild and the commentator is screaming ‘GERRRRRARD!!'...

The gameplay is nothing short of brilliant! The graphics are very good although the new ‘3D’ crowds do have a last gen look to them. The stadiums and stadium effects such as flares, flags, banners, et cetera, are lacking when compared to FIFA, however,...

football games on computers have always been about making that one man run, pass and shoot often ending up in making one player run the length of the pitch and score (the biggest challenge then being to make the Goalie do it!) or run down the wing and...
