Sega Superstars Tennis

The dynamics of Virtua Tennis 3 matched with your favourite Sega heroes. Surely a match made in heaven?

The actual tennis, meanwhile, is roughly what you'd expect from the guys behind Virtua Tennis 3. The basic controls are extremely easy to pick up but it takes a while before you really get a feel for the different shots and angles, and simply hanging...

SEGA Superstars Tennis

Sega seem to be past masters at providing the ultimate blue sky games. Sonic, Monkeyball, Samba De Amigo, Jet Set Radio - all games played under stunning sun-kissed vistas that seem to lift your mood on a rainy Sunday when you can-t get out of the...

Sega Superstar Tennis (PS3, Xbox 360) review

Let's get the cynicism out of the way from the very start. Sega Superstar Tennis is clearly an attempt to take the excellent Virtua Tennis series and make it appeal to the new "expanded market" that now makes up a good chunk of the industry. The...

In all honesty, the simplification of the controls and hit-miss nature of the superstar mode mean that Sega Superstar Tennis isn't quite as good as the tennis masterclass that was Virtua Tennis 3. Multiplayer games with friends are always good fun, but...

Sega Superstars Tennis Review - Xbox 360

sega superstars tennis review: The tennis is merely average, but the challenges and minigames in Sega Superstars Tennis are creatively done and a lot of fun.

Characters, courts, and music based on classic Sega games, Many minigames combine tennis with the gameplay of another game, More than 100 different challenges, Lots of online options.

Actual tennis is pretty average, Some levels use their source material much better than others, Many of the characters are D-listers, Nobody is playing online.

The tennis is merely average, but the challenges and minigames in Sega Superstars Tennis are creatively done and a lot of fun.

Sega Superstars Tennis Review

Outside of Nintendo, few videogame companies have the depth and variety of characters worthy of putting together a company-driven title you would want to play. Sega is in that rare breed that can pull it off, gleefully milking the warm and fuzzies out...

Many of the minigames are downright goofy, but it is hard to argue with the fun of knocking over zombies with tennis balls as Sonic's rotund arch-nemesis. The zombie filled minigame challenges of Curien Mansion are a blast, until the final offering...

Sega Superstars Tennis Review (Xbox 360)

It's no secret that gamers love mascots. Mario. Sonic. Link. You name a character, and likely there's a fanbase for it. SEGA, next to Nintendo, probably has one of the most recognizable stables of video game mascots in the industry. So what do...

SEGA Superstars Tennis also includes a Superstar game mode for those times when players need a break from the monotony of a standard tennis match. Superstar mode presents players with a series of different challenges based on a number of classic Sega...

SEGA Superstars Tennis features classic SEGA characters - including Sonic the Hedgehog and Ulala from Space Channel 5 - plus some of the most unusual courts and outrageous settings ever imagined in a rousing match of tennis. Developed by Sumo Digital...

Sega Superstars Tennis

When Sega announced their latest tennis game I wasn?t sure what to think. How could Sega add in their entire so called all stars in a tennis game? As of late, Sega hasn?t been releasing too many stellar releases, but that is about to change with Sega...

What Nintendo did for ?easy to pick up? golf, Sega did the same for tennis. Sega Superstar Tennis is probably the best tennis game out there today. There are a few controller issues and the mission stages to start to get tedious after awhile. If you?re...
