Transformers: War for Cybertron

When toymaker Hasbro was putting its final touches on the original Transformers series in 1984, they were probably unaware of the profound impact their line of trumped up toy soldiers would have on an entire generation of then-children. I almost cried...

Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh. War for Cybertron is never a bad game, but it never quite manages to do anything great, either. The beautifully ornate architecture and excellent character licenses don't really help alleviate the frustrations caused by...

Transformers - War For Cybertron

I recently reviewed the Nintendo DS versions of Transformers - War For Cybertron, and have since been enjoying the heck out of the console version created by High Moon Studios. War For Cybertron is complete with two campaigns and online play, starring...

High Moon Studios did a great job with Transformers, finally bringing gamers a vision of Cybertron and its popular inhabitants that we've long wanted to see. Both the campaigns and multiplayer sides offer a lot, making the total package impressive and...

Transformers: War for Cybertron review

Using the 80s cartoon as influence, rather than the recent movies, was an inspired choice that provides plenty of substance for those of you that remember what the chunky robots were before Hollywood got its hands on them.I'm not sure if there is much...

Like Batman: Arkham Asylum, Transformers: War for Cybertron succeeds by ignoring recent Hollywood efforts and returning to the original material as inspiration.

Transformers: War for Cybertron

Out of all the cartoons I used to watch on TV during the days of my geekish childhood, the Transformers was the only one that kept my attention for some reasons. Maybe I liked the characters or the setting or the music or perhaps it was just my boyish...

Transformers fans shouldn't miss out on this one, the voiceovers and cut-scenes evoke the feel of the old animated cartoon series, it's generally a fun ride in every mode that's on offer

The game doesn't bring anything new to the action genre, friendly AI gets confused and annoys the hell out of the player

Transformers: War for Cybertron Review

I'm thoroughly convinced that cartoons just aren't what they used to be, but then again it's most likely the nostalgia factor that has finally settled in hard-headed old age. But I can say that without a doubt that Optimus Prime and his fellow...

It’s far from a bad looking game, as I mentioned earlier there are a few set pieces where the game shines, but for the most part WFC falls short in the good looks department. The audio on the other hand is stellar with most audio and voice actors...

Transformers: War for Cybertron

The Transformers franchise has seen commercial success for the better part of the past 26 years. While there have been many different versions of Transformers over the years, few have managed to acquire the same level of success that the original,...

Transformers: War for Cybertron is a a great tribute and representation of the original, Generation 1 Transformers. Fans of the classic 1980's cartoons and characters will find a lot to love with High Moon Studio's representation of the line here....

Transformers: War for Cybertron Review

High Moon has taken a solid, fast, third person shooter foundation, crafted a well thought out transformation mechanic on top of it, and designed combat situations around that. The end result is a shooter that has an identity all its own, and leverages...

High Moon has been very good at saying all the right things with War for Cybertron leading up to its arrival in stores, but many licensed titles have talked a great game before falling apart when all was said and done. Thankfully, War for Cybertron...
