Philips DCM230 and iHome iH8 iPod Clock/Radios

We take a look at two iPod Clock/Radios vying for your attention this Christmas.

Of the two docks, the Philips DCM230 certainly has it in the looks department, and you might very well be tempted if you want to throw CD playback into the mix, while the USB port is a great feature too. However, the sound quality just isn't acceptable...

Affordability. Compactness. Remote control. Satisfyingly clear, dynamic sound (via CD's/FM). Useful (albeit not-quite-so-good-sounding) USB-drive port

Hard-to-read LCD. Incompatible with some iPods. Glossy-plastic top (or shiny-metal grille) easily scuffed (or dented)

Quite a Surprise!

When I looked up stereos for the iPod it seemed like you had to spend over $_ for a decent system. I am happy to say that this little cute system packs quite a punch. Priced accordingly, the sound is crisp and clear. I thought it would lose points on...

Amazing sound for the size!!!

I was going for the Bose Companion speakers w/ a subwoofer, but since I don't have the money for those babies yet, I shopped around RadioShack & saw this beauty! Luckily I had my iPod w/ me, and instant love! The sound bumps for any bedroom and a...
