Panasonic HXDC1

This is a dual HD Video camcorder and still image camera. Takes an SD card. (Must be a SDHC for some resolutions). Ease of Use. Good value for money. Comes with AV cable for non-hd television.

No protective case available yet, the menu and function buttons are exposed when not in use.

Good value for money, easy to use

This is a good little camcorder to use for the sorts of things I want to use it for: I need to capture group meetings, events and daytrips, and generally to generate a bit of content for YouTube and Facebook.

Handy little camcorder

This camcorder is so easy to use and so small it fits into my pocket or handbag. The picture quality is excellent and I am overall very pleased with my purchase.

On the money ...

Okay Spielberg and the Tech-Nerd next door may have a much better one with lots of technical buttons on it but I bet they paid an awful lot more.

Panasonic HXDC1

Its light, compact and very easy to use. Some great features and an all round great camcorder.

This camcorder does not come with a case and due to the shape of the camcorder it can be difficult to find a case that fits it perfectly.

Panasonic HXDC1

Slim, fits easily into your pocket. Great still images - no need to take a camera out anymore for quick snaps. Build quality and the fact you get stereo recordings. The sound on playback is very good and also HD playback of videos.

It's nice to have the extra digital zoom but it does pixalate so not really worth using without a tripod. (But...The optical is excellent with loss of image quality).

Very easy to use, light with straightforward controls. The image stabiliser is very useful.

The only down side is the battery life, but a spare battery helps solve this problem
