Acer Aspire Predator review

We see this particular configuration more as a sturdy base with room to grow than a power PC in its own right; a little more detail work on its guts could push it toward the top of the category.

All in all, the Acer Aspire Predator delivers solid performance for its price, but a few additional tweaks and a little reconfiguring could have squeezed even more performance out of this killer-looking machine. Cut the RAM in half, overclock the CPU,...

Acer's Aspire Predator is a peculiar power desktop.

Acer Aspire Predator

Powerful, expensive and very, very orange.

Case design is quite functional despite the front-panel door, good monitor, fast performance, liquid-cooled CPU

Doesn't have an option for the latest and greatest in graphics and RAM technology

Acer has made a valid attempt at creating a monster of a PC in an Alienware-like vein, but ultimately, its attempt falls short because the high-end model doesn't include options for the latest in memory and graphics technology.

Competitive price Striking design

Liquid-cooled, but not overclocked

Acer Aspire Predator

Acer's Aspire Predator ticks most of the boxes for an enthusiast's machine, but the interior is a let down.

The predator worked best for me, bought a projector and it made everything look like a real dream... removed the VISTA and put Windows 7 Ultimate, and all was incredibly smooth.

The looks the performance the display

Thought about it and shifted from the TFT to the projector...RESULT Breathtaking

I dont think the Graphics Cards is a Con as it can have 2 of them, and if your that worried you can install your own or upgrade it later on.

Quad Core with Overclocking ; 8GB RAM ; up to 4TB HDD (i only have 3 TB though) ; The insides is very neat and tidy ; Its rigged up and ready to go (i didnt have time to build my own)

I didnt like the fact it only comes with Vista Home Premium but thats cause im used to Win XP

Acer Aspire Predator

Acer's showing a new way, but its not completely a good way

well, Intel Core 2 Quad or Extreme flies ; tons of HDD Space ehich cna install alot of games (even many FSXs) ; Free Call Of Duty 4 ; A valueable PC for intermediate gamers, not for fussies

Build Quality, it just can't beat Aleinware and XPS build quality at all ; As mentioned, the interior of the case is not quite satisfying ; the front case is not quite a good looking one except for maniacs, I'd prefer Simple Cases like what they done...
