Alienware Aurora ALX (Core i7)

The Alienware Aurora ALX (Core i7)'s new Aurora ALX has a brand new core i7-CPU and two high-end graphics cards encased in one of the coolest chassis I've seen in a long time.

Case Design. Very quiet. Core i7 CPU.

Expensive. No multimedia card reader. No expandability.

Alienware Aurora ALX - Athlon 64 FX 60 2.6 GHz review: Alienware Aurora ALX - Athlon 64 FX 60 2.6 GHz

Typically well-built Alienware gaming PC; most powerful desktop 3D graphics technology currently available.

Quad SLI doesn't offer enough bang for the buck.

Alienware's Quad SLI PC features four distinct 3D graphics processors, placing it among the most advanced consumer PCs around. But we're not convinced that this expensive Nvidia technology delivers enough 3D muscle for the money. Furthermore, we'd...

Alienware Aurora ALX SLI

Two graphics cards and unparalleled support highlight the pricey but powerful Alienware Aurora ALX SLI.

Nvidia SLI technology provides powerful 3D graphics platform; liquid-cooled for quiet operation; dual 10,000rpm drives; superior service and support.

Expensive; custom painting not an option.

If you can stomach the price, Alienware's Aurora ALX SLI serves up big 3D gaming performance backed by some of the best customer service you'll find.

Alienware Aurora ALX

When you by an Alienware gaming system you're making a statement. The Alienware Aurora ALX (Core i7) ($4,249 direct) gaming desktop is like buying a Porsche: You can certainly find other cars that go just as fast for a lower price, but they wouldn't...

Case Design. Very quiet. Core i7 CPU

Expensive. No multimedia card reader. No expandability

The latest iteration of Alienware's ALX line, the Alienware Aurora ALX (Core i7), is as flashy as its predecessor and just as powerful, but it will cost you an arm and a leg.

Alienware Aurora ALX gaming PC

A hardcore gaming PC with deadly looks and fast performance

Excellent performance, tool-less drive bays, customisable lights, neat internal construction

Micro-ATX motherboard doesn't leave room for add-in cards, only one hard drive

Alienware Aurora ALX

Those who like to build their own machines will scoff at the price. But for those who don't want to build their own desktop, and just want bling and instant gaming satisfaction, the Aurora ALX will fill that gap and then some.

Excellent innovations in case design ; Immaculate interior ; Automated venting ; Excellent expansion options ; Quality keyboard and mouse

Price ; Back light is a little hard to find

For those who don't want to build their own desktop, and just want bling and instant gaming satisfaction, the Aurora ALX will fill that gap and then some.

Alienware Aurora ALX

One of the PC's weaknesses is the tendency to be generic. That's certainly not a weakness of Alienware's new Aurora ALX. Using a new redesigned chassis, there's no way your Aurora ALX will be confused with a bland black box.

Truly unique chassis with multicolor perimeter lighting

Needs backup drive for storage; outperformed by overclocked machines

That puts the ALX in a good place for folks who want a unique machine—without any of the hassles that can crop up with overclocking.

Alienware Aurora ALX

Insane performance at an equally insane price

Astounding performance ; Great bundle ; Ergonomic input system ; Customizable lighting

Prohibitively expensive ; Heavy ; Bundled monitor should have been 23-24” inches

Alienware Aurora ALX Desktop

It's well built and looks gorgeous, but the price it demands is unjustified

Great build and finish, water cooling for the CPU, customizable lighting system, good bundle

Very expensive, outdated graphics card, high power consumption, active vents would not work
