Dell XPS One 27 review

It's got a beautiful screen and powerful hardware, but adding a touchscreen makes it very expensive

We found the bundled wireless keyboard and mouse were also very comfortable and easy to use, as all the Chiclet-style keys had plenty of bounce and tactile feedback, and the mouse was just the right size for our hands.

Dell XPS One 27 All-in-One Desktop Computer- 3rd Generation Intel Core i5-3450s processor ( up to 3.50 GHz)

But the Windows 8 era now gives us a certain conformity across different PC types. Your laptop, tablet , flip-screen hybrid, or desktop all-in-one all share the same tile-based Windows 8 interface and very likely all have a touch screen. We've seen a...

The updated Dell XPS 27 is highlighted by excellent performance and features, plus a higher-than-1080p touch screen, Nvidia graphics, and Intel's latest fourth-gen CPUs. An HDMI input lets it double as a display for a game console or cable box.

The main benefit of Intel's new chips, amazing battery life, isn't applicable here. The adjustable stand could offer more flexibility.

As a big-screen upscale all-in-one with touch and decent gaming chops, the latest version of Dell's XPS 27 is a great all-around home PC that covers a lot of bases.

Dell XPS One 27 Touch Review and Ratings

With the welcome addition of a touch screen, Dell's powerful XPS One 27 Touch is the best Windows 8 all-in-one we've seen yet. We just miss the iMac's aluminum shell and wish Dell offered a more powerful graphics chip.

Gorgeous ultra-high-res touch screen ; High-end CPU ; MSATA SSD for quick boot and program load times ; Easily upgradable

Mobile-class graphics, while good for an all-in-one, aren't up to gaming at full screen resolution ; Plastic back feels flimsy compared to Apple's aluminum-clad iMac

In today's world, $2,599 is certainly a lot to ask for a PC, even one with a big screen. We knocked the Acer Aspire 7600U as expensive, and our XPS One 27 Touch is $700 more (though it boasts a much faster CPU, twice the memory and storage, the SSD...

Excellent All in One

I would purchase another one if required. Way to go Dell!

Great Core i7 processor and 1Gb of memory means blazing speed and enough power for multitasking. Very easy to set up; within an hour, reloaded McAfee, Office Pro and my other apps with all updates. The screen at 27 inches is superb with great...

The CD/DVD loads from the right hand side of the screen, so it cannot be inserted if you're in a tight space. It could have been placed in the base

Excellent Purchase

I do not use the touch screen feature so cannot comment on it.

The computer is blazing fast as you should expect. I use the computer for work (Microsoft Office Suite), browsing the internet, and to dabble in application development (Adobe Flash) ; I never wait. The computer runs many parallel applications at once...

Great Desktop PC

Received PC 4 days after order. No defects or bad pixels. 32 GB SSHD enables 15 second boot up time. Great speakers. Touch screen is nice, but I still prefer using keyboard and mouse. Limited up/down monitor adjustment, but it does swivel to almost...

keyboard does not light up., no led light for caps lock key, windows 8 seems harder to use than win7

Powerful, elegant workhorse

This is a well-engineered all-in-one with good performance, stylish build, and quality build. Set up was fast -- I was up and running and productive right away.

The Five Star Reviews have it right.

For over 20 years I've been building my own computers. I could not come close to building a feature rich product such as this for anywhere near the advertised price. This PC is well designed, well put together and is the perfect computer for the new...

infinity sound, razorsharp touchscreen, very nicely integrated package, sleek design, wireless keyboard and mouse work and feel good
