First PC

I bought this computer when It was 350 dollars! But, I was in need of a computer on the spot so it was worth it. Also keep in mind that this is NOT a 64-bit operating system. Which means, although you could 'physically' put 4gigs of ram into it, you...

This computer is very cheap for a decent low-end gaming machine. Works well, and have not had any problems with it after nearly a year. Despite what everyone says about Vista, I found it to be a quite enjoyable operating system. I honestly do see it as...

Only comes with 1g of RAM and has an intergrated graphics chip (Rougly the equivlant of a real geforce 6200) but both are easily upgradable, for a relatively affordable price. Note* That if you do intend to upgrade your RAM/Graphics card etc, you must...

Compaq's low end computer

As you can see from newegg's pictures, no reinstall disks are included. There's a 10 gig partition at the end of the disk containing recovery, reinstall data. A program is included to create recovery disks from that data. A Microsoft sticker with the...

The price is right, very low

There are only two SATA connections on the motherboard; two more connections have been blanked off. There is one IDE PATA connection for two drives on the usual ribbon cable. The 160 gig hard drive and the DVD drive occupy the SATA connections. You...

wow.

I'm an IT manager (mangler), so I have a little experience to back me up here. I started a side job, and needed XP Pro & Ubuntu server (Apache dev). Basically, didn't even look at Vista, and went straight into first boot w/ XP CD. Worked like a dream....

Cheap, powerful, warranty, no reliance on the 14 y/o nephew needed. Completely XP down-gradable

It's still a Compaq (but not from 1997)

i think it is a great low to mid range gaming computer, also severally great for business computers, i think this computer will let me run most of my games at a lvl that i will be happy with, as well as multi-task programs as much as i want without...

Well actually i have yet to test this product out, but as i sit here typing i realize i am typing on a 12yr old compaq pc, which kind of sparked my interest in renewing my interest in compaq's if this old one that has a 633mhz celeron processor that...

only 2 slots of ram, meaning having to buy 2x2gig ram to bump it up to 4gigs, but could also be nice, but i have been a fan mainly of 1gig sticks and have heard negative reactions about most 2gig sticks ; also one pci-e slot, wish there was 2 pci-e...
