Lenovo IdeaCentre B520 review

Lenovo's IdeaCentre B520 is one of the most feature-packed all-in-one PCs we've seen. It has a 23in 1,920x1,080 LCD touchscreen, which is fairly standard, but this one is also 3D-ready. The PC has a mobile 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT555M graphics processor...

Lenovo IdeaCentre B520 review

It is rare to find an all-in-one desktop that can be compared to a gaming machine, but Lenovo took on the challenge with the Lenovo IdeaCentre B520. Is it possible to deliver a smooth gaming performance with a svelte system? Let's check under the...

The Lenovo IdeaCentre B520 is a nice step forward for all-in-ones, but it lacks some high-end features while retaining a high-end price.

This impressive all-in-one entertainment PC can handle everything from games to 3D movies

The B520 is an adept entertainment centre. Its credentials are rounded out further with a DVB-T digital TV tuner and media centre remote, although its Avermedia A336 chipset doesn't support either HD or 3D TV. It could be argued that Lenovo has missed...

Lenovo IdeaCentre B520: A Giant Leap for All-In-One Kind

It is rare to find an all-in-one desktop that can be compared to a gaming machine, but Lenovo took on the challenge with the IdeaCentre B520 (listed, as configured, at $1799, as of 10/13/2011). Is it possible to deliver a smooth gaming performance with...

Powerful machine with a slim design ; Great media center functionality

Pricey ; Lackluster port selection

The Lenovo IdeaCentre B520 is a nice step forward for All-in-Ones, but it lacks some high-end features while retaining a high-end price.

Lenovo IdeaCentre B520

Lenovo IdeaCentre B520 all-in-one desktop can hook up to any video source from the past 30 years, from the latest 3D Blu-ray player to that old VCR you have in the closet.

Built-in 3D (with glasses). Blu-ray player. Seamless touch screen. Built-in 5.1 surround simulation. Very good multimedia benchmark scores. HDMI in and HDMI out. Easy to open chassis for hard drive and memory upgrades. Comes with Angry Birds.

External IR receiver for remote takes up USB port. Expensive. Glossy screen. Not a lot of 3D programming yet. Motion mouse and Kinect-like Camera Fun Zone are technologies waiting for developers to create games for them. No USB 3.0 or eSATA. Extra...

Lenovo IdeaCentre B520

Very quick and easy to set up. Just read the on-screen messages and click on your choices. The all-in-one design is good. I like the wireless keyboard and mouse. The desk will be less cluttered.

Arrived without Flash, Acrobat, Shockwave, Office etc. like most PCs It would be good if those things were at least available on the PC, so they didn't have to be downloaded. I didn't like being almost forced to accept a particular antivirus program. I...

Lenovo IdeaCentre B520

Nice screen, I like the all-in-one unit, it makes a good working from home machine, in that it can handle the work but in a fairly attractive way. We have it in the corner of the room with the family snaps in a slideshow

The keyboard bluetooth was a little shaky to start with but appears to have settled down, the keyboard doesn't have the build quality or the feel of the base unit. As usual it comes with the usual OEM bloatware and unwanted antivirus trials. However...

Lenovo IdeaCentre B520

This machine does not look like an ugly PC sat in the corner of the room. It has a little more elegance about than some of the others I have looked at. There is a general neatness to the PC and it is reasonabley powerful. I have had it for a week and...

The screen produces glare unlike my old machine, which had a matt finish, but I am sure that I will find a solution to this. I bought a swivel base to enable me to move the screen to help eliminate the glare. I would have like better outputs, since I...
