Apr, 2001

Kodak mc3

The new Kodak mc3 is the first portable unit that combines digital video with virtually unlimited recording, an MP3 player and a digital still camera together for less than $300. Unveiled for the first time at DEMO 2001, a high technology conference in...

Kodak lets its hair down with a new portable multimedia device. But is there more to like about the mc³ than its looks?

Kodak MC3

Two out of three ain't bad - I say this because the mc3 takes atrocious digital stills - the colour is off, its full of artifacts and distortion - which all magically disappears (except for the colour being off) in video mode, provided you have it on...

battery life ; mp3 playing capabilities ; video recording and playback with sound ; lcd screen

can't handle indoor lighting and slow to adjust to changing light conditions (stills and video) ; no backlight on lcd screen ; shot to shot speed for stills is very slow ; requires an odd number of batteries (3AAA - try finding that in a pack!)

Kodak's MC3 - digital camera, camcorder, and mp3 player in one!

I really like how the MC3 looks. Slightly bigger than a deck of cards, and it can play MP3s, take digital pictures, and record video clips. The MP3s are in realjukebox format. The videos are in quicktime format. You can sync it with your computer...

Neat compact design. A good price for digital camera/camcorder/mp3 player

Difficult to see screen in low light ; quality of construction could be better

Great mp3 player, shame about the camera.

I bought this cheaply second hand to use on a trip as a "happy snappy" camera to take on the more adventurous parts of a recent overseas trip and to be able to listen to my favourite musi on the go.

Great mp3 player, compact, easy to use

Poor quality photos, takes AAA batteries, uses Quicktime for video

My boss's son is a bit of a technology freak. Whenever he sees a new toy, he has to have it. So it was that he recently saw an advert for the Kodak mc3 - a combination digital still camera, digital video camera and mp3 player, and showed up a couple...

not enough memory. no flash. no viewfinder. poor quality video

Finally worth your money....

I wanted this last year about now, but, patient as i am, I waited for reviews. They came in quick, and it wasn't good.

Half the price it used to be...Video/mp3/stills PLAYS MP3PROS

Jack of all trades, master of none

Bad quality...Not worth it!

The mc3 is easy to use which is definitely a plus, however

Many functions ; 10 ; Good battery usage for the three AAA batteries

Quality of videos and photos is poor without much light
