Nikon Coolpix S570 review

 

The S570's metal body looks smart but not particularly striking, although it's more eye-catching in black, blue, red or pink finishes. The price quoted above is for the red model – the silver finish we were sent for testing costs £150.

The 5x zoom wide-angle lens is welcome, but there’s nothing else here that warrants a recommendation.

The Nikon Coolpix S570 is a solid camera offering at the popular $199.99 price point. Simple and stylish, the camera has a bright, wide-angle lens and 5x zoom helping it standout from the competition; as does its consistently good photo quality below...

Good lens specifications; Smart Portrait System works well; nice design, feature set.

Middle-of-the-road performance; ISO 1,600, 3,200 not worth using.

The Nikon Coolpix S570 is a respectable ultracompact camera, despite average point-and-shoot performance and some high-ISO overpromising.

Nikon Coolpix S570

 

This is a good, solid, pocket camera. It handles most photo opportunities well. I also found the Coolpix S570 very easy to use. It has a simple, yet appealing design and is reasonably priced.

Ease of use - colours - brightness - picture quality

Taking a couple of pictures with flash can be slow

I like the Nikon Coolpix S570. It performed well in my tests, is easy to use and available at a reasonable price.
