Demanding image-makers get everything but the kitchen sink provided by Nikon's new flagship full frame mirrorless camera
Whopping 45.7-megapixel resolution ; 8K video ; It can do everything ; Ergonomics ; It's a workhorse
Chunky build, partly due to dual handgrips ; Add a telephoto lens and we may as well be carrying four bags of sugar
Much hyped and much anticipated, the range-topping Nikon Z9 combines 45.7-megapixel resolution stills with up to 8K video to make this a powerfully enticing all-in-one option for pro snappers being called upon to play ‘content creator’ in both...

Nikon has been the forgotten company in the mirrorless race, but that's set to change with the launch of the 45.7-megapixel Z9..
Fast shooting speeds
No flip-out display
Color accuracy is better than I’ve seen on previous models, possibly thanks to the Nikon Z9’s new Expeed 7 processor that brings improvements to white balance. However, skin tones aren’t quite as warm as with Canon’s R3 or R5. JPEG images look nice...

The Nikon Z9 is one of the best cameras we've ever tested. But is it the best of the best? Chris and Jordan have been testing the Z9 with the new 2.0 firmware for a while, and they have the answers.

The Nikon Z 9, known hereafter as the Nikon Z9 for naming convention consistency on our site, has been a long time coming. Nikon announced the development of the camera nearly a year ago now, back in March 2021.

The Nikon Z9 is late to the pro mirrorless party – but with 120fps bursts and 2½ hours of 8K video, it may not matter
120fps burst shooting! ; 8K 60p video resolution ; 2½ hours of 8K 30p video ; Unbeatable value
120fps files are only 11MP ; RAW shooting only 20fps ; Screen not fully articulating ; Some features not till 2022
It's fashionably late, but the Nikon Z9 makes a heck of an entrance. It blitzes the Sony A1 and Canon EOS R3 with its blistering 120fps burst shooting, 8K 60p capability, over 2½ hours of 8K 30p recording, and a dramatically lower price price tag...
