Panasonic FS37 review

A slim 16MP 8x zoom compact with touch screen operation

Good build quality ; Compact ; Lightweight ; Useful zoom range ; Sleek design

Noise at ISO1600 ; Reflective screen can be difficult to see in bright conditions ; Touch screen can be unresponsive, especially when using fingers

Those in the market for a well constructed, compact and lightweight camera for taking shots mainly in good light and making reasonably small prints will find the simple sleek design and simple controls of the FS37 suits them just fine

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH27 review

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH27

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH27 is a straightforward point-and-shoot with a flexible lens and useful touch-screen operation.

Its 16-megapixel resolution is a bit of a waste and you can't use the optical zoom while recording movies.

Simple and satisfying, Panasonic's Lumix DMC-FH27 is an excellent point-and-shoot value.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS37

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS37 : Compact crisis? Millions of pixels aren't the answer

Sporting a svelte design and the latest tech, the FS37 falls short on image quality. Some of the poorer results could have been captured on a mobile phone

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS37 Digital Camera Review

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS37 has Intelligent zoom, a smart touch screen and is put to the test by Daniel Bell.

Lots and lots of zoom; Intelligent Auto mode gives great results; Auto white-balance performance; Noise is handled well throughout the range of ISO speeds

Menu system is not the easiest to use

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FH27 digital camera

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FH27 review: A digital camera that has a good lens but a fiddly touchscreen

Good quality lens ; Fast zoom

Poor touchscreen ; Mediocre image quality

Panasonic's LUMIX DMC-FH27 is a compact digital camera that has a good 8x Leica-branded zoom lens. However, the 3in touchscreen can be a pain to operate and doesn't offer many advantages over traditional buttons. The camera's 16-megapixel sensor is...

Panasonic Lumix DHC-FH27

The touch-screen-based Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH27 is a good-looking compact camera that packs big zoom, but soft photos and poor user experience spoil the deal.

Compact and attractive with 8x zoom. Decent low-light performance. Speedy. One-touch zoom button.

Soft images. Subpar touch-screen experience. Only records video at 24 frames per second. No HDMI port.

On paper, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH27 looks like like a great camera: It's got a big LCD, a touch screen, 8x optical zoom, and a slim body all for less than $250. But it's complicated and frustrating to use, and doesn't provide good enough photos to...
