Sony Alpha a6300

The Sony Alpha a6300 sits at the top of the Sony APS-C camera lineup. It costs £1,000 body-only at release, sitting below the full-frame Sony A7 II.

It's the fastest focuser in the west

Fast, accurate autofocus ; Great image quality, even in low light ; Invaluable OLED viewfinder ; Compact, lightweight and sturdy build

Pretty pricey

A fantastic all-rounder, if you can stomach the price tag

Sony Alpha A6300 review

4K video and impressive focusing specs make the A6300 sparkle

Very good JPEG quality ; High-quality viewfinder ; Fast and capable AF system

Underpowered LCD at default settings ; Display not touch-sensitive ; No in-camera raw processing

The A6300 is a well-rounded camera with a good specification, and delivers great performance in a range of situations. Its autofocus system is excellent, and its viewfinder should convince traditionalists of the merits of electronic units.

Sony a6300 review

Technically advanced, but the Sony a6300's controls aren't in line with the high price

The Sony E-Mount range has an excellent track record, though, as this is the best model to date. The a6300 doesn’t come top in any single area, but if you want a single camera that performs well for video capture, high-speed shooting and low-light...

Sony's new A6300 camera adds better autofocus and 4K video

With a much-upgraded autofocus system, new sensor and 4K video, the A6300 sounds like a worthy update. There's also a new series of pro full-frame lenses, called G Master.

Sony Alpha A6300 Full Review

We review the high speed Sony Alpha A6300, with 11fps continuous shooting, advanced AF, and 4K video recording.

11fps continuous shooting with AF ; Excellent image quality possible ; Excellent video quality and options ; Rapid focus and wide focus area ; Great noise performance ; Weather-sealed body (when used with FE lenses) ; High-resolution electronic...

Increased price over the previous model (although quite easily justified) ; Use of FE (Full-frame) lenses will noticeably increase the size of the system ; Touch-screen would be nice

The Sony Alpha A6300 gives other mirrorless and digital SLR cameras a run for their money, with a high-resolution 24-megapixel sensor, high-speed continuous shooting with continuous AF at 11fps, and a whopping 425 phase-detection AF points, with an...
