Good quality recordings and fairly easy controls.

Does not (as far as I can discover)allow one to set a recording period in one-touch-recording mode. Annoying. Also very slow at stopping when manually searching through a tape. My previous ancient (16 years old) Salora (Solara?) used to stop instantly,...

Fairly easy to use. Good menu function.

There is no visual running time in the video window therefore when editing video one has no idea at what point a particular item occurs.

Well designed and pleasing to the eye. Functions are easily accessible and it's easy to program. Best feature is the moving thumbnails that are displayed for each program that you've recorded on the DVD, meaning no more tiresome searching for...

When you turn on the machine, functions are accessible immediately - it takes about 15 seconds to warm up. Also when putting a new disc into the machine it also takes about 15 seconds to read it. Only takes DVD-RAM and DVD-R discs; no other recordable...
