Actually, this was not so good as it was not what I was expecting. This one was below the standard of what I had wanted. However, I did not return it because of the protocols involved. It cannot play DVD rewrite and VCD.

Because its a piece of junk. It said its new, but it must not be because when you actually do get it to play dvds, it gets about half way through and it quits playing.
