Does Mio's higher-end Spirit 687 offer as good value as its keenly priced Spirit 685?
5in screen ; AV input ; Maps for 44 European countires
Not as good value as the 685 ; Live services require tethered 3G smartphone ; No full UK postcode search
The remaining differences are inside. The 687 comes equipped with twice the memory of the 685 - 4GB instead of 2GB. Both are supplied with maps for 44 European countries, but the 685 only has 23 countries preinstalled, and if you want to install any...

Take a Mio Spirit V575 TV and remove the rubbish TV and media player. Now you have the Mio Spirit 687, and a very good product
A brilliant navigation experience and an enticing price make this satnav a real winner. Don’t expect it to be pretty, though

Does it all at a good price
Tends to send you the wrong way as and when it wishes. Can also send you to a place one way then back another way?
Consumer review (argos.co.uk)
I bought this to replace a stopped-working Navman. The Mio is essentially an upgrade with more modern features, and traffic alerts built in. It is an improvement in many ways : the 5" screen is nice & clear, the lane guidance is very helpful , though...

Good size and clear. Not sure you can change the voice.
Software not up to date when bought. Took it away and motorways in France that had been there a year or so were not on it.
