The Sennheiser HD 448 is a set of headphones that is balanced for the most part, but if you're looking for articulated bass then this isn't your stop.

Detailed mids and highs ; Good noise isolation ; Cable extender included

Boomy bass ; Can get quite warm in there

While you could wear these on public transport they're probably best suited to listening at home or work. While they're not the ultimate in high fidelity the sound is even-handed enough to cater to listening to CD and vinyl as well.

Very comftable and don't fall off your head easily. Seem well built and sturdy and the extension cable comes in handy.

looks good , Sounds GREAT Thick Cable probably twice as thick as the hd 228 i own, very comfortabe i dont notice it while its on my head, im a musician so i know about sound quality and this headphone sounds really good.. the cable is 1.6 m i believe...

you can't remove the cable. i think it would have looked better it more steel was used .

after a few days of using it i found that the bass somehow gets a lot better compared to how it used to be out of the box. But for really low bass frequencies which tend to vibrate the membranes wildly, it affects the highs and mids. Imagine talking in...

Overall sound quality is awesome. honest bass (not boomy but really good)

Not too compatible with most portable mp3 players. requires headphone amplifiers
