Sennheiser PXC 250 NoiseGard review

Air travellers take note: it's time to wave goodbye to ambie

Lightweight ; Effective noise cancelling ; Excellent playback sound ; Foldable

Bulky ; sensitive NoiseGard box ; No good for walking or jogging

Another great set of headphones from Sennheiser, especially for cutting out ambient noise

Sennheiser PXC250 review

Sennheiser's PXC250 headphones offer a lighter construction than the others here. The narrow headband and on-ear design may not have been in vogue since the mid-80s, but they do have advantages when it comes to travel.

Sennheiser PXC 250

Very comfortable; compact, foldable design; excellent high-frequency detail; taut, powerful bass; highly effective noise-canceling circuitry; storage case included; two-year warranty.

Battery pack is cumbersome.

Highly effective noise-canceling circuitry mated with detailed sound and a comfortable fit--what's not to like?

Sennheiser PXC250

The Sennheiser PXC250 is a noise cancelling headphone. It has a housing NoiseGard that is attached to the cable, completely blocking the noise around. The noise blockage comes in 10 to 12db in noise attenuation. It needs two AAA batteries to activate...

Affordable, lightweight noise-killers that manage to tick almost all the right boxes - sound quality is sublime and external sound is kept successfully at bay. The battery pack is a pain, it’s true, but it’s one most users will be able to live with....

Rich sound, great treble, good detail, comfortable

Battery pack is large, slight lack of refinement to the sound

A typically high quality product from Sennheiser, the PXC250 headphones offer a good alternative to products from Bose if you're looking for something a little cheaper. The audio quality is impressive although it doesn't quite beat what's produced by...

The ultralight Sennheiser PXC 250 mini-headphones are exceptionally comfortable, but their undersize soft-ring ear pads may require some fiddling to seal properly.

Sennheiser PXC 250 Noise-canceling Headphones

Noise-free listening for unhindered audio

The active noise-cancellation offered through these headphones help to keep out external noise as you listen to your audio. The sound quality provided by these headphones is also quite good, with clarity in treble, bass and mid ranges

The noise-canceling ability of these headphones is quite limited and will not work that well when the environment features noises from a varied spectrum of frequencies

Active noise-cancellation is the forte of this pair of headphones, and it does well in this respect to cut out all ambient noise from the environment as you enjoy your favorite audio. Couple this with great sound quality, and you have a great audio...
