Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2000 Review

If you're like most of us, it's unlikely that hackers have much interest in intercepting what you're typing. Still, with schematics and software to build keyboard sniffers readily available, it's nice to know you're protected from ne'er-do-wells, and...

Review: Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2000

Good hardware, bad design.

Excellent BlueTrack sensor; Silent, short-throw membrane keys; Great operational range; No interference; Virtually lag-free; Wide range of Windows optimised function keys; Jitter-free mouse; Wristpad; 6-key rollover; Great value for money.

Crazy scroll wheel; Unergonomic; Lacks proper key spacing; No indicators for toggle keys; Requires a steep learning curve.

Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2000

Keyboard performs well. It is a replacement for a similar one I had previously which only needed changing due to the symbols wearing out

Mouse has an erratic cursor making navigating screen problematic.

Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2000

Bought my new PC then had to buy new keyboard & mouse. Extremely easy to set up, so much so it was finished before I realised. Easy, peasy for an old non techy lady!!!

Keyboard could be raised a little more at the back hence my 8 for design as I have wrist problems.
