This is the best MacBook for the majority of people. It's powerful, sleek and has battery life that'll power through the busiest of days.
Fantastic performance for the size and weight ; Standout keyboard and trackpad ; Great battery life ; Good value
8GB base memory option ; Expensive upgrade prices ; An OLED screen would have been the icing on the cake
This is the best MacBook for the vast majority of people. It’s powerful, sleek and has battery life that’ll power through even the busiest of days. 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD feels stingy at the base level, but there’s still plenty of value to be...

The MacBook Air 15-inch is fast, has a good screen and top battery life. It ticks just about every box I look for when recommending a laptop.
Thin and light with a huge screen ; The M2 remains a powerful chip for everyday tasks ; Not a huge price increase over the 13-inch model
Annoying port placement ; Internal upgrades are expensive ; M2 not a massive jump over M1
The MacBook Air 15-inch is fast, well-designed, has a good screen and excellent battery life. It ticks just about every box I look for when recommending a laptop

Beautifully designed, stylish, portable... just don't call it a netbook.
Excellent battery life ; Beautiful design ; Fast boot-up
Pricey ; Small screen ; No SD card slot
Because it uses the same components, it’s unsurprising to find that the 11in MacBook Air performs no differently to the 13in system. All of the tasks a MacBook Air user is likely to want to carry out ran smoothly without any issues, from watching HD...

Hands-on: We get our greasy mitts on Apple's new ultra portable notebook.

Has the MacBook Air finally come of age with this new 11-inch version?
Flash storage ; Great new graphics chipset ; Enhanced battery life ; 30-day standby mode ; High-resolution screen
Processors relatively slow ; No backlit keyboard ; No SD card reader ; No 3G internet ; Still a little expensive
Although an excellent technological achievement, the MacBook Air has previously struggled to find its niche in the Apple notebook range. It was too expensive to compete with the low-end MacBook, and not powerful enough to replace the higher-specced...

The Apple MacBook Air 11-inch pushes into a new space for Apple, slotting between the existing (and refreshed) Air 13-inch, and above the iPad. It means Apple now has a compact and extremely portable format of computer: Apple had always said they...
Build, design, powerful for its size, great screen, exemplary keyboard
Price, inevitably lacks connections, no battery indicator
There is little to complain about with the MacBook Air 11-inch. It is, in a word, spectacular. It delivers performance in a package that is surprisingly complete and this, coupled with the design, makes the £1020 for the model reviewed here almost...

MacBook Air M3: is Apple's latest super-portable notebook worthy of your hard-earned cash? I put it through its paces to find out...
Beautifully designed ; Super light ; Superb keyboard
Upgrades can be very expensive ; Very similar to the M2 Air ; Jury’s still out on the screen notch
Yes, the best everyday ultraportable is now even better – the gauntlet has been laid down for Intel laptops again.

Long-expected but most welcome all the same, does the gap-filling Apple 15in MacBook Air do enough to impress?
A really great looking laptop ; M2 is more than enough power for most ; Still quite physically compact
Single external display support ; Speakers could be better ; No extra battery life than 13in
The best gets bigger – but unless you really need the extra real estate then the 13in is a much better buy and feels a lot more portable.

Thinner is better. At least, that's what Apple seems to think, judging by the new MacBook Air. It's so thin you could use it to shave. In fact, the 11-inch version is the most portable laptop we've ever encountered, even taking netbooks into account....
Extremely slim and portable; well built and elegantly designed; fun to use; good display.
Poor port selection; mediocre performance; expensive.
The 11-inch Apple MacBook Air is remarkably thin and really enjoyable to use. But its paltry port selection and lack of real grunt mean it won't appeal to everyone.
