MSI CX61 0NF review

The MSI CX61 is a monster of a laptop, but you'll have to contend with its lacklustre looks

Good performance ; Quality 1080p screen ; Keyboard re-arranged for gamers

A bit ugly ; Chunky chassis

MSI CX61 (20D-011UK) review

It's bright and clear, too, and will certainly do justice to your Blu-ray films or business presentations. The only slight issue is a narrow vertical viewing angle which means you have to tilt the screen to get the best contrast. The speakers have a...

If you’re looking for a slimline Ultrabook with all-day battery life then the CX61 is clearly not the laptop for you. However, if you need a powerful desktop replacement system for work or for entertainment at home you’ll find it provides impressive...

MSI CX61 0NF review

It's not going to win any awards for stylish design. But MSI's CX61 laptop provides good multimedia features and performance at a competitive price.

The MSI CX61 0NF looks chunky and old-fashioned compared to modern laptops. However its powerful processor and attractive high-definition display make it a good, affordable desktop replacement laptop that’s suited to multimedia work and entertainment.

Review MSI CX61 Notebook

Gaming cost-cutter. The CX61 from MSI targets those users who are looking for an affordable multimedia notebook - but don't want to sacrifice the ability to play games. For less than 600 Euros (~$800), the notebook comes equipped with a Core i5-3210M...

Good overall as well as gaming performance, 2x USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0, Fair price, Not everybody wants to (or is able to) spend more than 1000 Euros (~$1350) on a notebook suitable for gaming. The MSI CX61 appeals to those looking for a bargain, offers...

Only average build quality, Fan is always on, Short battery life, Weak display, Input devices take some time getting used to, Even though compromises are a necessity given the price point of 600 Euros (~$800), the chassis of the CX61 is a bit...

MSI CX61 2QF 1885UK

Takes a very long time to start up (took almost 10 miniutes yesterday) Very slow in general. Can't play games on it. I've had it less than a year and it's never been a very good laptop. I've done all updates. Such a bad laptop that I'm not really...

MSI CX61 2QF 1885UK

It was worth the money spent and provides good performance for moderately intensive games along with software needed for university. Works well.

The mic quality is extremely bad, i would advise other means of audio input. Linked to my second point is the fan on the side does its job relatively well however creates a lot of noise, this partially works against the mic further.

MSI CX61 2QF 1885UK

Bought this as an upgrade to my old laptop (HP Pavilion), use it for casual gaming (mostly releases from the past 10yrs), browsing & office work. Best value laptop I could find for the spec. Sturdy design with a great screen (resolution is actually...

Will probably struggle with new/future game releases. Battery life in the range of 2hrs under high strain (not a problem for me though as only use it in the home!). Windows 10 pre-install might not be for everyone.
